Ghana: North Tongu District Distributes Free School Uniforms, Exercise Books to 40 Schools

The North Tongu District Chief Executive (DCE), Alhaji Dzinadu Bubey, has called on parents to ensure that their children do not spend time at funeral celebrations in the night to the detriment of their studies, because it was clear that some parents failed to play their roles effectively in guiding their wards, a negative development that contributed to the poor performance of some pupils in schools.

The North Tongu DCE, who was speaking at separate functions when he distributed free school uniforms and exercise books to the Mafi-Tsetsekpo L.A. Primary, Dorfor-Agorveme and Dorfor- Melenu schools, noted that the government's efforts to promote education such as the provision of books and uniforms would be meaningless, if parents failed to complement such efforts.
