Hey there, I nominated the Kern, Alaska article for deletion on Wikipedia. Soon after I did I saw [https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Panorama_showing_Bird_Point_on_Turnagain_Arm,_buildings_at_Kern_Creek,_and_end_of_Alaska_Northern_Railway_at_Mile_71,_Alaska_(AL%2BCA_5525).jpg this photo] and now I'm thinking it may have been a mistake. It looks like that could be a photo of the area from 1914. Do you have any other photos or information about the area? - [[User:Scarpy|Scarpy]] ([[User talk:Scarpy|{{int:Talkpagelinktext}}]]) 01:16, 18 May 2019 (UTC)

Rights to use photograph in free app

Dear Aconcagua,

The Fryderyk Chopin Institute prepares a phone app ‘In the footsteps of Polish and Norwegian composers’. It will contain 5 GPS guides for smartphones, which will be dedicated to: Chopin, Lutosławski, Tellefsen, Grieg, Nordheim. This app will be available for free on three platforms – Android, iOS and Windows Phone in Polish, English and Norwegian versions. Its most important objective is to bring to the society the characters of the greatest composers of Poland and Norway, through descriptions of the most important places connected with their life and selected works and photographs.

As written on Wikipedia, I am writting to request permission to use image of Rudolfinum (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Rudolfinum_Prague.jpg) in app dedicated to great polish compouser Witold Lutosławski.

Best Wishes,

Peggys Cove Swissair Flight 111.jpg

Good day. Request permission to use the above jpeg in a small display about Swissair 111. The display will be at the Discovery North Bay Museum, in North Bay, Ontario, Canada, on or about 4 June 2016, and is part of an exhibit about the Royal Air Force Ferry Command in the Second World War. The Command flew warplanes from factories in the United States and Canada over the Atlantic to war zones overseas, particularly the United Kingdom. Purpose of the Swissair 111 display is to illustrate the difficulties that can occur when an emergency strikes an airplane over the ocean, and counterpoint that situation to the cruder aircraft which were flown 70 to 75 years ago. My e-mail address is raymond.newman@forces.gc.ca. I'm an officer in the Royal Canadian Air Force; in this capacity I'm assisting the museum with its exhibit.

Thank you for your time.

Use of a Port Royal image for a mobile app

Hello, I am working at the Canada research chair on cultural heritage at Université Laval and we are currently developing a mobile application on 150 sites of French cultural heritage across Canada. The aim of this app is to allow Canadians and foreign visitors, francophones and francophiles, to discover the cultural heritage and tourist attractions associated with the Canadian Francophonie. Each subject will be presented in a text of roughly 500 words supported by 3 or 4 archival and contemporary images. We might be interested in using some of your images for the article on Port Royal. If you have any questions about the project, do not hesitate to contact us. Best wishes, Troi vtroitran@gmail.com

File:Landsat denali lrg.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!
