Dies asteroidum, etiam internationalis asteroidum dies appellatus, est anniversarius rei Tunguscanae dies, qui omnem per orbem terrarum celebratur, rem commemorans cum meteorites prope Tunguscam Transmontanam in Sibiria die 30 Iunii 1908 diruptionem super superficiem telluris faceret, maxime quidem noxiam rem quae ad asteroides in historia recentissima pertinet.[1] Dies 6 Decembris 2016, conventus generalis Nationum Unitarum per resolutionem A/RES/71/90[2] hunc diem rite sanxit.

Dies asteroidum a Stephano Hawking, Gregorio Richters (fabricatore pellicularum), B612 Foundation,? Danica Remy, Rusty Schweickart (astronauta Apollonis 9), et Briano May (citharista gregis Queen et astrophysico) una conditus est.[3][4] Plus quam centum astronautae, physici, technologi, et artifices, inter quos Ricardus Dawkins, Gulielmus Nye, Petrus Gabriel, Iacobus Lovell, Michael Collins (astronauta Apollonis 11), Alexander Leonov, Gulielmus Anders, Kip Thorne, Dominus Martinus Rees, Christophorus Hadfield, Rusty Schweickart, et Brianus Cox declarationem diei asteroidum una consignaverunt.[5][6]
