The Sarmatians (Latin: Sarmatæ or Sauromatæ, Greek: Σαρμάται, Σαυρομάται) wur an Iranian fowk o the classical antiquity period, flourishin frae aboot the 5t century BC tae the 4t century AD.[1][2] Thay spoke Scythian, an Indo-European leid frae the Eastren Iranian faimily.
