Jang Keun-suk, Yoona attend script reading session for new series

Hallyu star Jang Keun-suk and Girls' Generation member Yoona have attended a script reading session for their upcoming series, according to the show's promoter Tree J. Company.

On Friday, Tree J. announced in a press release that Jang, Yoona, director Yoon Suk-ho, actor Kim Si-ho, actresses So Eun-seo and Hwang Bora and singer Seo In-guk took part in the script reading session for "Love Rain" (tentative title) set to begin shooting later this month. "I cried after reading the script for the first time and I became really avaricious in that I wanted to express the right emotions to show the love between the two main characters," Jang was quoted as saying.

In "Love Rain," Jang plays Seo In-ha (Jang) who will do anything for the woman he loves named Kim Yoon-hee (Yoona) during the 1970s. The drama will compare that love to relationships during the present time.

"I felt sort of a burden in trying to portray the emotions of Kim Yoon-hee but I have confidence the drama will turn out great after seeing everyone at the script reading," Yoona said in the press release. The upcoming series, scheduled to air in the country during the first half of next year, is a collaboration between famed director Yoon Suk-ho and scenarist Oh Soo-yeon who has worked on hit series "Autumn Tale" and "Winter Sonata."
