Español: Figura 1. a) En la endoscopia, el esófago se ve normal sin dilatación. Sin embargo, se observó un aumento de la resistencia a través de la unión esófago-gástrica en un paciente con acalasia.

b) Esofagografía que muestra una apariencia de pico de pájaro con bario remanente en un esófago no dilatado.

c) Manometría de alta resolución que muestra presurización panesofágica (acalasia tipo II) con presión de relajación integrada (PIR) elevada (43,3 mmHg; la medición de la PIR se tomó después de la relajación deglutoria del esfínter superior, según la ventana de 4 s en la que el valor de e-sleeve es el más bajo, teniendo en cuenta que los 4 s no tenían que ser continuos, sino que podían distribuirse dentro de una ventana de tiempo de 10 s (cuadro de cierre blanco).
