Deutsch: Verarbeitung eines Grebes-Fells (Vogelbalg von Tauchern, besonders dem großen Haubentaucher). (ca. 1908?)
Bei der Verarbeitung von Greben ist besondere Sorgfalt darauf zu legen dass die durch die Seiten gebildeten „Krotzen“ eine gleichmässige Breite erhalten. Schnitte sind möglichst zu vermeiden. Gewöhnlich setzt man zur Haltbarkeit und Egalisierung der Seiten an diese ein kurzhaariges Pelzwerk, das mit der Farbe der Seite harmoniert. Bei Gegenständen, wie beispw. grösseren Muffen, wo eine Fellbreite nicht genügt, wird ein halbes Fell mit dem Krotzen an Seite an das Mittelfell angesetzt. Siehe Fig. L M R.
