Centsprent met een litho, bestaande uit 4 x 3 omkaderde afbeeldingen. Rigobert, 'het afschuwelijkste en booste monster' wordt door zijn moeder in het woud achtergelaten. Margane, de tovergodin, wil dat iedereen hem schoon en geestig vindt. Die macht zit in 3 haren op zijn hoofd. Raoul, de neef van een tovenaar, vindt hem lelijk, maar de 3 vrienden van Raoul en Rosa, zijn verloofde vinden hem schoon. Rigobert wordt eerste minister en zijn huwelijk met Rosa wordt aangekondigd. Raoul hoort van zijn oom over de 3 haren en tijdens de bruiloft trekt hij de haren uit Rigobert's hoofd. Hij verandert weer in een afschuwelijk monster. Hij moet vluchten en verdrinkt in de rivier. Raoul trouwt met Rosa en wordt eerste minister. Bevat onderschriften in Nederlands en Frans.
