Español: Cada año, más de 100.000 personas reunidas construyen un pueblo en torno a una huaca (piedra sagrada), a los pies del glaciar Ausangate sobreviven las huellas de las tradiciones precolombinas
Desde el techo de los andes, cientos de peregrinos se preparan para subir el glaciar Ausangate donde pasaran la noche. La prueba máxima de devoción en la cual, muchos pierden la vida cada año debido a las bajas temperaturas. En esta fotografía vemos a una mujer proveniente de la comunidad de Ocongate pidiendo limosnas junto a su nieto.
