DreamWorks Animation movies are made for family audiences, and are meant to entertain adults just as much as children. As such, the movies contain a number of adult-oriented jokes meant to fly over kids' heads.

Antz[]

  • At the bar Weaver tells to Z: "Yeah? And ever since we were little, I have been listening to you complain. What are you bitching about?" Later Z states: "Call me crazy, but, I have a thing about drinking from the anus of another creature." In the trailer, "anus" was changed to "caboose".
  • After kidnapping Bala and getting lost, causing Bala to hate him, he tells her "You know, I was going to let you become a part of my most erotic fantasies, but now you can just forget that. Write it off." The original line was "part of my most erotic sexual fantasies", but they removed that line to avoid a harsher rating.
  • After being captured by Cutter and Mandible, Bala says: "I'm the princess, dammit!".
  • When Mandible learns that one soldier survived his deliberate suicide mission: "Damn!... Good! Damn good!"
  • During the rally against him, Mandible states: "Z doesn't give a damn about us!".
  • When some insects eats stuff around the camp fire some say "This stuff tastes like crap." "Lemme try some... Hey, it is crap. Not bad."
  • Also, Z, at one point, asks “Who the Hell is that?”

The Prince of Egypt[]

  • During the race with the chariots, Moses looks up Ramses royal skirt.
  • Tzipporah was given to Moses and Rameses for two reasons. One: The priests make sure to highlight her beauty. Two: Rameses and Moses both seem fairly, um, excited. Three: Rameses somewhat suggestively grabs her by her chin. And four, the real cinch: Rameses has her sent to Moses' bedchambers.
  • As Moses is washed by Jethro's women, he states "Ladies, please, you've cleaned every inch of me — WHOA! I was wrong." Its likely that they washed his genitals.
  • After Moses and Tzipporah marry, the next scene implied that the two had sex, as we see Tzipporah with her hair all over the place and she's asleep. However, this could have also mean that she's just a messy sleeper.

The Road to El Dorado[]

  • During the opening song, a pair of armadillos meet, sniff each other's noses, and disappear into a bush. The bush shakes around a bit and a moment later the two armadillos pop out followed by a bunch of babies, meaning the two had mated.
  • During the early gambling scene: Tulio: [frustrated mumbling] Come on baby, papa needs that crappy map.
  • Tulio uses the word "hell" twice when he and Miguel talk their plans about returning to Spain.
  • As the trio is almost crashed against a ship Tulio screams "HOLY... SHIP!". This is a play on the phrase "holy shit."
  • When Miguel and Tulio are stranded out at sea a seagal lands in their rowboat and dies, it can be seen that it has a noticeable butt hole.
  • During the "Trail We Blaze" section Miguel and Tulio are both shown stripping down before jumping into the hot springs.
  • Right before the natives address them when they first arrive, Miguel apologizes to Tulio about a past girl. Tulio's mouth clearly starts to form the F-word right before Tzekel-Kan interrupts. (And the subtitle confirms it: "So you f—")
  • A couple of female background characters in El Dorado aren't wearing anything resembling a shirt under their ponchos.
  • When Chel swipes Tulio’s loaded dice, Miguel questions "Where was she keeping them?"
  • When Miguel and Tulio undress themselves, Chel watches them.
  • At one point during "It's Tough to Be a God", Miguel sings, "So let's be gods; the perks are great!" He and Tulio promptly fall to the ground, surrounded by women.
  • The drink consumed during the feast may look like some innocuous fruit juice, but it turns out to be some very potent alcohol given that the duo blacks out in minutes.
  • In the final scene of "It's Tough to Be a God", we see Altivo in multi-blurred vision. He dances drunkenly about, dancing on three legs or two. His eyes are crossed and his eyelids are heavy. He even switches his jaw in different positions. When applied that the horse had drank the alcohol as well. He staggers about while drunken whinnying. Suddenly, he lowers his head and his neighs become more faint and disoriented. He wobbles unsteadily as he blacks out and collapses on his side. The camera points up to the starry-sky as the horse blacks out completely.
  • When Chel seduces Tulio:"Chel: [alarmed] The High Priest?! What's he going to think if he finds one of the gods like this with me?! Tulio: [dazed] Uh... lucky god?"
  • When Tulio and Chel's makeout session is interrupted, her head is nowhere near his lips. BJ as we see her move her leg to get off of him. Also, there's Chel moaning when Tulio massages her shoulders, before he says, "Oh yeah."
  • As Tzekel-Kan smells his elixir, it seems like he felt an orgasm.

Shrek[]

  • The movie, more than its sequels, contains a decent amount of profanity compared to other family animated films. The words "damn", "ass" (as a pun) and "crap" are used on several occasions.
  • Lord Farquaad is a caricature of Michael Eisner, then-CEO of the Walt Disney Company and a subject of DreamWorks' then-CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg's (and the film's) ire.
    • Farquaad's name is also a corruption of the slur "fuckwad".
    • His height is also a jab at the significant size difference between Eisner and Katzenberg.
  • Shrek says that Fiona's book is pure s*** but the word is covered when the toilet flushes.
  • When Shrek sees the Seven Dwarfs place Snow White's coffin on his table, he yells "Dead broad off the table!". The word "broad" is used to describe a woman whose "less respectable than a lady, but much more respectable than a bitch".
  • When the Magic Mirror presents Snow White as a bachelorette to Lord Farquaad, stating "although she lives with seven other men, she's not easy!" The joke is that living with "seven other men" (the Seven Dwarfs) would imply that Snow White is promiscuous, but by saying "she's not easy", the Magic Mirror says otherwise.
  • When Shrek sees the size of Farquaad's castle, he asks Donkey "Do you think maybe he's compensating for something?" While children in the audience are led to think Shrek is talking about Farquaad's height, the usual meaning of the phrase is in reference to genitalia.
  • In "Welcome to Duloc", the Duloc Dolls sing "Please keep off the grass, shine your shoes, wipe your... face!" During the phrase, the front row of dolls rotate to show their butt cracks, implying that they were going to sing the word "ass" (which rhymes with "grass") instead of "face".
  • After winning the tournament, Shrek tells the crowd, "I'm here till Thursday, try the veal." It is an old-timey reference to when nightclubs that comedians performed at would make most of their money from serving fancy food. Thus the comedians would recommend their audience to eat more expensive food (like veal) so that they could get paid more. Later nightclubs became places that primarily serve alcohol, and some comedians would say phrases like "try the veal" ironically, which is what Shrek is doing here.
  • When Shrek and Donkey first see the Dragon's Keep, Shrek says, "Sure it's big enough, but look at the location". This is a real estate joke about the castle as if it was property to buy, Shrek stating that while the castle is big enough, it is situated in a bad area.
  • At Fiona's castle, when Dragon captures Donkey and brings him to the treasure room, he says that he doesn't intend to start an intimate relationship too soon, implying that Dragon wanted to have sex with him immediately.
  • When rescuing Fiona, Shrek says "I have to save my ass," referring to Donkey. However, the phrase is also a vulgar way of saying "I have to save myself", ostensibly the meaning Fiona took away.
  • When looking at a picture of Fiona on the Magic Mirror, Farquaad appears to be sexually aroused; his bed sheet even subtly rises in front of him, implying an erection.
  • When Shrek awakes to see that Fiona is cooking eggs for him and Donkey, Donkey speaks while sleeping. His dialogue hints that he was having a sexual dream. In the Latin Spanish version of the film, during his dreams, he asks his partner to slick his ear and mount on his seat.
  • In "Merrymen", Monsieur Hood says "I like a little spice on a saucy little maid", followed by the Merrymen singing "What he's basically is he likes to-". Hood then chimes in and says "Paid!", despite the clear intention meaning to say "laid". This references how Monsieur Hood loves to have sex with women he targets.
  • Donkey comes back from getting the flowers and find Fiona on top of Shrek, making him think they were planning on having sex.
  • When Fiona cross the tree bridge as Shrek was holding it down, she slides her hand across his back and he gets a pleased expression, indicating he has an erection.
  • When Shrek, Fiona, and Donkey are standing on the fields of Duloc, Donkey does a call-back to Shrek's earlier joke on Lord Farquaad's genitalia when they first approached Duloc's entrance (Finally understanding the joke in regards to not getting it the first time) by saying "You know, Shrek thinks Lord Farquaad's compensating for something, which I think means he has a really...", before Shrek cuts him off by stepping on his hoof. This is obviously implying that Donkey was going to finish off his statement by saying "small penis".
  • When Lord Farquaad announces his plans to marry tomorrow with Fiona, Fiona convinces him to marry that same day (because she wanted to be cured from her curse), to which Farquaad says that they are anxious and that the sooner the better. He was referring to having sex that same night.
  • Shrek calls Donkey a jackass while they're fighting. The word means male donkey — which Donkey is — but it's also an insult that means a stupid, annoying individual.

Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas[]

  • When Marina is going through Sinbad's stuff, she finds what appears to be a jeweled bra and speculates out loud that he found it in a brothel.
  • In the scene with the sirens, the old man on the boat takes off his shirt—revealing his scrawny chest—and says “Come get it ladies!”

Shrek 2[]

  • When Prince Charming reaches the highest tower at Fiona's castle, he finds the Big Bad Wolf lying on Fiona's former bed and reading a pornographic magazine called "Pork Illustrated", with a female pig wearing a bikini kneeling in the sand of a beach.
  • Shrek and Fiona check into a hotel. They shut the door and aren't seen again until morning, no doubt they consummated their marriage during that time.
  • During the Fairy Godmother's song, one of her assistants spanks himself, like saying that women will receive that, or in this case, Fiona could receive it from her Prince Charming.
  • Prince Charming's attempting to explain his reluctance towards marrying Fiona to Fairy Godmother is framed in a way that implies he's struggling with homosexuality. This was a subtle reference to his voice actor, Rupert Everett, who is homosexual in real life.
  • When Shrek and Donkey fight Puss in Boots during his attempted assassination of them, the latter briefly kicks the former in the crotch in an attempt at hitting Puss. When Donkey asks if he missed, Shrek replies with some effort "No, you got 'im." While the line technically meant he hit Puss ultimately, its usual meaning is a reference to being hit in the groin.
  • When Shrek along Donkey and Puss in Boots enter into the potions room of the Fairy Godmother's Cottage, one of the bottles of potions has a label that reads "Viagra". Viagra is a medication used to treat erectile dysfunction.
  • At the farm in which Shrek, Donkey and Puss slept, the three girls present say Shrek that they can be his true loves and can do give a massage, with one of them ordering a line for the massage. They presumably wanted to have sex with Shrek following this.
  • Still at the farm, when Shrek decides that Fiona can now see him as a human, his pants fell out because them were very big for him now, so Donkey decides that it's time to search new clothes for Shrek, causing the three girls present put exclamation faces in the sight of seeing Shrek naked.
  • When Shrek is drinking milk in the Poison Apple with Donkey and Puss, the milk bottle's logo is a bull. Bulls don't give milk, so anyone could think that it was semen.
  • Outside the Poison Apple, two guards watch the Headless Horseman waving his arms around, indicating that he is drunk.
  • When Puss is stopped by the knights, one of the officers subtract catnip from his belt, so Puss says that the catnip wasn't from him, implying that he was taking catnip like marijuana.
  • When Donkey recommends Pinocchio to say that he has women underwear and it's discovered that it's true, Gingy reveals that Pinocchio had a pink thong on.
  • The Fairy Godmother was singing "Holding Out for a Hero", which contained some serious sexual undertones like "Isn't there a white knight upon a fiery steed? Late at night, I toss and I turn, and I dream of what I need". Meaning

Shark Tale[]

  • During the derby scene, Bernie tells Oscar that he's a weiner.
  • There is a blink and miss part shown in the magazines that has the phrase "smoking seaweed".

Madagascar[]

  • When Melman reveals that he gave Marty his first rectal thermometer for a birthday present, Marty mutters out a disgusted "mother!" It might sound like another disgusted gag to children, but to adults its clear that Marty intended to say a very naughty word after Melman's reveal.
  • ”Alright boys, fun’s over.”
  • When Alex and Marty find each other on the beach and Alex remembers that he is mad at Marty, Marty swears by assigning words to the letters of an acronym. They are "Oh Sugar Honey Ice Tea".
  • Every time Gloria's butt is revealed.

Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit[]

  • When Gromit manages to lasso the Were-Rabbit and ends up getting pulled along by it, he swerves around a corner. Look closely at the large poster on the wall, which is advertising "Bag-o-Shite" horse manure.
  • When Lady Tottington holds a large pair of vegetables in front of her while complaining that Victor doesn't seem to care about her "produce" while Wallace comments "his loss" with quite a hungry look on his face.
    • The whole scene of her showing Wallace her secret greenhouse has shades of this due to Wallace becoming more and more rabbitty due to the transformation and looking at the vegetables with a pleasured look of hunger while trying to contain himself. This reaches critical levels when he looks at Lady Tottington's large carrot. The dialogue in this scene is to be heard to be believed, since, despite referring to Wallace's hunger, it could very well have a sexual connotation.
    • While all of this happens, Victor comes to the manor to try and court Lady Tottington, but sees the shadows of her and Wallace in her greenhouse with both of them laughing and her moaning and saying Wallace's name with an excited voice. This was as deliberate as it needed to be to make Victor angry.
  • When the townsfolk are complaining about their vegetables being ruined by the were-rabbit, a woman stands up holding a pair of half-eaten cabbages at chest level. (Husband: Look at my wife's brassicas- ravaged in their beds!) Just as when the husband says brassicas, some of the men in the crowd get an excited look on their face.
  • The vicar owns a magazine about nun wrestling. The cover even imples "bad habits".
  • The parts where Gromit uses the large female bunny disguise to attract the Were-Rabbit/Wallace have quite a lot of this, especially the second one, where the beast gropes the tail, followed by the lady bunny slapping him and him reacting with an even more enticed look.
  • When the villagers get excited upon meeting Victor after his alleged slaying of the were-rabbit, they urge him to kiss their vegetables. One of the villagers says this: "Kiss my arrrr...tichoke!"
  • As the Were-Rabbit let falls a palace forniture on the ground Constable Macintosh screams "Stand back! There may be a large rabbit dropping!", meaning that it could drop a poop.
  • During the final confrontation, and after realizing that he has no chances to seduce Lady Tottington (or getting her fortune), Victor claims (referring to the Were-Rabbit/Wallace):" And if I can’t have your money, I can still bag your bunny!"
  • During the final confrontation, Victor remains hanging by his trousers from a weather vane. The vicar screams "Beware the moon!" and Victor's butt is visible.
  • The cardboard box Wallace uses to cover himself up late in the movie is labeled "May contain nuts." Lady Tottington also blushes when she briefly looks down at Wallace's private parts.
  • Lady Tottington tells Wallace to call her Totty; "Totty" being British slang for a desirable woman.

Over the Hedge[]

  • RJ tells the other animals to "Roll over and give your privates a good licking" if they get caught. And they almost get a chance to actually do it later on.
  • When RJ goes to work solo with Hammy, Hammy excitedly asks him "You wanna help me find my nuts?". Hammy's a squirrel likely refering to literal nuts, but this could be taken out of context, and refereing to his testicles.
  • Stella's makeover in preparation for the seduction ends with her getting a cork shoved... somewhere. The audience isn't shown where, but considering it's expressively for stopping her stink, its likely her anus.
  • Stella's role during the film's major heist is to distract the house owner's cat. When she's later startled by a crash, she stands up from off-camera with some of her 'make-up' messed up while the cat sits up after her with a dazed, goofy expression, implying the two had a sexual approach.

Flushed Away[]

  • When Rita asks Roddy to look for a clip in her pants, Roddy ends up touching her butt instead.
  • When Roddy and Rita are escaping The Toad, Roddy accidentally pulls down Rita’s pants.

  • At the port, before departing in search of Arthur Pendragon, Puss tells a cat that she is the lady of his life, but later says the same to other cats, and many others arrive, causing Puss to run away before getting into trouble. This is presumably implying that Puss is a womaniser.
  • After Fiona tells Shrek that she is pregnant, Puss says to Shrek that he is now supremely f***ed, but the ship's horn sounds interrupt Puss.
  • After Shrek awakens from his nightmare and asks himself how it all happened, Puss answers that when a male bee loves a female bee, the male leaves her his little seed, to which Shrek says that he knows how it happened, remembering the instance in which he and Fiona had sex and conceived their children.
  • At Worcestershire Academy, while Shrek, Donkey and Puss search Arthur Pendragon, two students exit from a carriage filled of smoke, implying that they were taking drugs.
  • While trying to convince some students at Worcestershire Academy that Shrek was simply a guy in a realistic costume, Donkey proceeded to sell the act by kicking Shrek in the crotch, with Shrek saying it would have really hurt had his physical appearance not been a costume.
  • Still at Worcestershire Academy, when Donkey emerges from the locker in which he was locked by some students, he is seen to carry on his back a sign saying "I Suck-eth", referencing the phrase "I Suck", like saying that Donkey gave fellatio.

  • When Fiona and the Princesses try to take the castle back from Prince Charming's clutches, Doris uses her leg to attract two guards before knocking them out.

Bee Movie[]

  • There are many incest “jokes” in the movie centering around how the bees date their cousins.
  • During a conversation with Barry and his parents, a nearby older bee comments saying he dated a cricket once in San Antonio but those “crazy-legs” kept him up all night—implying the two were having interspecies intercourse. When Adam reveals that Barry has been talking to humans, he tells Barry’s parents that he has a “human girlfriend” and that they “makeout,” while simultaneously making suggestive movements with his hands to illustrate his point.
  • In the second court hearing, Mr. Montgomery questions Barry on his relationship with Vanessa, and in one question he asks if he’s Vanessa’s “bedbug” and if they sleep together, while clearing his throat and giving Barry a crude look.

Kung Fu Panda[]

  • As Po attempts his training of "Level Zero" he's kicked in his lower parts by a wooden crocodile. He then whinces in pain saying “Ooh, my tenders!” as he holds his region with his hands.
  • In the scene when Tigress performs a split and breaks the plates that Shifu throws as a demonstration of flexibility, it's implied that Po watched her butt during the demonstration.
  • During the dinner scene, after Shifu discovers Po doing an imitation of him, a startled Po quickly removes the two bowls he was using to make ears and they land on his chest area. The other animals at the table laugh, as the bowls resemble a bra or woman’s breasts.

  • In the alternate world, when Cookie attempts to cook Donkey for dinner, Shrek convinces him to not do so, with Donkey adding that he could enter easily into his mouth, but his exit could be hard.
  • In the alternate world, when Shrek tries to convince Fiona on her tent after meeting the fat Puss in Boots that the only way to save Far Far Away is kissing him, Fiona asks him how he found them, so he says that his donkey fell in her waffle hole. This could be seen as a pervy euphemism referencing anal sex. Additionally, when Fiona kicks Shrek out of her tent, Shrek asks if he can see mistletoe, referencing the tradition to have a man kissing a woman if they found mistletoe.

  • While Perrito is listing down the name that he has been called, one of those names in particular turns out to be "s*** for brains", only the word "s***" has been bleeped out.
  • While smelling the roses at Pocket Full of posies, Kitty express her disinterested by saying "All I smell is bull..." but is cut off by Perrito saying, "Shh!" before she got to finish. This is obviously implying that she was going to say "All I smell is bullsh--".
  • Perrito is cursing out Goldilocks and the three bears while being captured, but they were bleeped out for comedic effect.
  • When Puss beats Death, Death rants something in Spanish. If translated in English, he actually said "Why the hell did I go play with my food?"
  • When Horner recounts his childhood to the Ethical Bug, he bemoans that everything he had was "useless crap like that".
  • When Horner grows into a giant, he says that he was worried he would "come out naked".

Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken[]

  • Arthur makes a puberty joke.
  • Uncle Brill gets disgusted when Agatha says "moist".
  • Nerssia says that she is a mother flipping mermaid.

Trolls Band Together[]

  • Tiny offering Branch to suck on a pacifier after being annoyed by John Dory and Poppy, with Branch saying "I can't get back on that train", is like someone offering you a cigar or drug to deal with a stressful situation and a former addict doesn't wanna relapse into that old habit.
  • Bridget almost says "Hell".
  • When King Gristle wakes up the morning after his bachelor party, we see that he has a hot dog drawn on his face, as a loophole for another type of wiener that's usually drawn on a sleeping/unconscious person's face as a prank. Cloud Guy also appears to be hungover, as if heavily drinking the night before.
  • During Gristle and Bridget's wedding ceremony, Miss Maxine claims that she's fallen in love several times, implying she's slept around a lot.
  • Another drug reference after Tiny pushes the Hustle button, where the trolls are in a drug trip-like sequence. After it, Branch waves his hand and sees a rainbow backtrack saying, "Oh, look at that..."
  • When one of Bruce's kids says she has pink eye, John Dory, Poppy and Branch express disgust. When Tiny joins in, what he says is bleeped and he has a censor bar over his mouth with symbols, implying he was swearing.
  • When Bridget and Gristle are tied up by some trolls, Bridget says "I didn't think we'd both find ourselves tied up on this honeymoon", which is a reference to BDSM.
  • When Branch, Poppy and Tiny are about to rescue Floyd, they climb up a wall to get in through the HVAC. Branch's plan is to stop the fan blades from spinning "so our cup...cakes don't get sliced in half." Tiny, misunderstanding, gets excited, thinking they brought cupcakes. Branch tries to tell him that's not what he meant, but then gives up trying to tell him. That along with his hesitation in saying "cupcakes" implies he was talking about male private parts, considering he said it to Tiny.
