    ​Shares of underperforming heavyweight HDFC Bank, which have bounced back by 11% in the last one month amid value buying by large foreign investors, can jump another 10-15% if its weightage in MSCI increases in August review.

    In comparison, private players like HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, Yes Bank and IDFC First have an average UPI technical decline of 0.04%. Among private players, Bandhan Bank has seen technical declines of over 1%.

    In May 2024, the Reserve Bank of India reported a marginal decline in weighted average lending rates on fresh loans and deposits by 16 and one basis points, respectively. The WALR on fresh rupee loans fell to 9.39%, while the WADTDR on fresh term deposits dropped to 6.47%.
