Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: Polycab India(Rs. 5928.91 crore), CDSL(Rs. 4945.43 crore), RIL(Rs. 4518.09 crore), Bharti Airtel(Rs. 4283.95 crore), Vodafone Idea(Rs. 3658.58 crore), Indus Towers(Rs. 2835.92 crore), Mazagon Dock Ship(Rs. 2514.24 crore), Tata Motors(Rs. 2279.09 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 2240.66 crore) and SBI(Rs. 2021.01 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Friday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 33.91 points down at 24010.6, while BSE Sensex fell 210.45 points to 79032.73.

In the Nifty index, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(up 2.67 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 2.51 per cent), Reliance Industries Ltd.(up 2.28 per cent), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 1.95 per cent) and Tata Motors Ltd.(up 1.82 per cent) stood among the top gainers.

On the other hand, IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 2.55 per cent), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(down 2.16 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(down 1.84 per cent), ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 1.67 per cent) and Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 1.54 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
