Stock market update: Power stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Power stocks were trading higher on Friday at 11:10AM

RattanIndia Power Ltd.(up 4.54%), KPI Green Energy Ltd.(up 3.56%), Voltamp Transformers Ltd.(up 3.21%), Energy Development Company Ltd.(up 3.02%), NHPC Ltd.(up 2.51%), Indowind Energy Ltd.(up 2.10%), NTPC Ltd.(up 1.77%), Inox Wind Ltd.(up 1.55%), Reliance Power Ltd.(up 1.50%) and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 1.38%) were among the top gainers.

GE Power India Ltd.(down 1.39%), KEC International Ltd.(down 1.30%), NLC India Ltd.(down 1.19%), Kalpataru Projects International Ltd.(down 1.02%), Torrent Power Ltd.(down 0.98%), Indo Tech Transformers Ltd.(down 0.90%), Adani Green Energy Ltd.(down 0.73%), SJVN Ltd.(down 0.50%), Orient Green Power Company Ltd.(down 0.35%) and Adani Energy Solutions Ltd.(down 0.26%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 98.0 points up at 24142.5, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 300.97 points at 79544.15 at around 11:10AM.

Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 2.86%), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(up 2.75%), State Bank of India(up 2.01%), Tata Motors Ltd.(up 2.0%), Reliance Industries Ltd.(up 1.93%), NTPC Ltd.(up 1.79%), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.72%), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 1.52%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 1.5%) and Nestle India Ltd.(up 1.35%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 1.35%), HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 0.79%), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(down 0.77%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.73%), Axis Bank Ltd.(down 0.64%), ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 0.49%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 0.48%), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(down 0.47%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 0.38%) and Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 0.3%) were trading in the red.
