Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE

NEW DELHI: Shares of GRP Ltd, Roto Pumps, Wockhardt, Atul Auto and Nahar Poly Film, hit their fresh 52-week highs at 10:09AM(IST)on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty index rose 72.0 points to 24082.6 amid buying in frontline bluechip stocks.

However, stocks such as Ortel Communications, Akme Fintrade(India, Reliance Home Fin, Integra Garment and Paras Petrofils, touched their fresh 52-week low.

Overall, 34 shares traded in the green in Nifty50 index, while 16 traded in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Wipro, Hero MotoCorp, Grasim Inds., Tech Mahindra and JSW Steel were among top gainers, while NTPC, Apollo Hospital, Power Grid, L&T and Divis Labs traded in the red.

The BSE Sensex was trading 240.3 points up at 79273.03 at 10:09AM(IST).

Traders were seen piling up positions in Fertilisers, Irrigation & Allied Services, Packaging, Rubber and Sugar sectors, while selling was visible in Beverages - Alcoholic, Airlines, Tobacco, Gas & Petroleum and Aquaculture sectors.
