    Middle schooler from Washington, Rebecca Wu has won the national competition, Doodle for Google 2023 and now her artwork will be featured on Google’s homepage on Tuesday for 24 hours. Her piece, named ‘My Sweetest Memories’ is a tribute to her sisters who Wu said that she loves and dislikes. However, Wu said that she can not live without them.

    While describing her winning doodle, Wu said that she and sisters “help to inspire each other and to help each other grow like the vines and flowers in my picture” while adding “I am never lonely with them and they can cheer me up”.



    As the winner, Wu will be receiving a $30,000 college scholarship along with a $50,000 technology package for her schooling or a non-profit organization that she chooses. She would also get Google hardware and branded prizes, according to the statement by the search engine giant.

    Rebecca Wu’s artwork showed her sisters sitting next to her holding a cup of hot chocolate. Wu, who is in the middle, said that it was one of her fondest memories. She said that she has learned to be a little bit more patient with them, and noted the “enormous” impact that her sisters had on Wu. Her artwork also has a rainbow in the background, which symbolizes the one of the first things that she helped her sisters draw.
