== Rossmeissl family involvement ==

The Rossmeissl family associated with J & M Rossmeissl (the largest retailer north of Milwaukee) were also involved in the George Walter Brewing Company beginning in the early part of the 20th century. Ancilla Rossmeissl, daughter of Matthias and Barbara Rossmeissl, married Edgar Walter. Her brother Henry M. Rossmeissl became the president of the George Walter Brewing Company and remained president for decades until the brewery was closed in the 1970's.
