Draft:Moon Taeil

Hi! I'm currently working on a Wikipedia draft right now for Moon Taeil (NCT). The reviewer of the draft is really strict and I feel like they reject every draft I submit. I saw you editing Yuta's page and you focus on South Korean-related pages, so I hope there's a bit of response? :DDalbit03 (talk) 09:36, 18 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Dalbit03, I will take a look at it and see if there is anything I can improve on. Paper9oll (🔔📝) 10:58, 18 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you so much! Here is the link Draft:Moon Tae-il Dalbit03 (talk) 12:36, 18 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Also, the reviewer asks for notability and wants to have more resources that separate Taeil from the group, yet I looked at other pages of NCT members and most of the resources are still using the NCT name.... Dalbit03 (talk) 06:36, 19 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Dalbit03 Just scrolling through, the draft has multiple issues and not just notability. There are multiple unsourced paragraph and needed reliable source. Paper9oll (🔔📝) 07:03, 19 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
My draft used to have so many resources but I removed because one issue was about it. I'm going to add it back. Thank you! Also, some of my friends want to have you as the creator for Taeil's page instead. Dalbit03 (talk) 07:06, 19 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Removing YouTube from profiles

Hello, I noticed you removed the YouTube infobox from Sakura Miyawaki. While I understand your reasons, I want to know what to do about other celebrities involved in YouTube that did not necessarily start off on the platform, such as models like Nozomi Maeda and Haruna Kojima, as well as voice actors like Natsuki Hanae. lullabying (talk) 03:17, 19 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Lullabying Hi there, if you were to ask me I would remove it as those information are not important and only cater to certain audience. You can retain it or remove it from the 3 mentioned person infoboxes. Paper9oll (🔔📝) 05:39, 19 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I do want to make an argument for Sakura Miyawaki listing hers: while she didn't gain fame through YouTube, she still makes and generates original content. She has her own vlog channel aside from her gaming channel. Similar celebrities that were famous before getting into YouTube were the three I mentioned, as well as Hiro Mizushima and Yusuke Shirai. lullabying (talk) 05:44, 19 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Lullabying Hi, I removed from Sakura article because she was involved in K-pop as Iz*One, as far I'm aware of, articles (at least those that I have come across or been following/watching) related to Korean entertainment industry (be it singer or actor/actress) doesn't has YouTube infobox emebed in their infobox. Few of the article, I watched has seen IP user or newly registered adding them (the YouTube infobox) before, which was immediately reverted by other editors including admin. The other editors and admin, I'm referring to are not some random editor that came and revert the articles, but frequent editor editing Korean-related articles. I can't say much about other Japanese actor/actress/singer as I'm not well-verse with Japanese entertainment industry unless the person has been in Korean entertainment industry (in particular K-pop). In short, we don't see Infobox YouTube personality embed into Korean actor/actress/singer/companies/agencies/groups/etc articles. Paper9oll (🔔📝) 06:00, 19 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, but Sakura Miyawaki's gaming channel had existed before she even entered the K-pop industry and it was part of her activities with HKT48. lullabying (talk) 06:10, 19 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Lullabying As mentioned, those information are trivia and only catered to certain audience. From my understanding, the Infobox YouTube personality is supposed to be used by original YouTuber only. Existed before doesn't mean it can't be removed, those information are not important to her main career. Paper9oll (🔔📝) 06:20, 19 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Idols are a niche genre to begin with, and being on YouTube is part of her career. If it were a corporate-run channel, I would understand, but to my understanding, she runs this channel herself and produces original content for it. If there are Japanese celebrities who list their YouTube information on their Wikipedia (Sally Amaki for one, as she is also an idol singer with a YouTube channel), I don't see a reason why it can't be listed on her page especially when being on YouTube is part of her activities. lullabying (talk) 05:20, 21 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Lullabying Main activities is what we are talking about here in Wikipedia, such trivia information that carries no weight shouldn't be included. It is like saying Singer A is who is mainly known for vocal, and in some random videos published in their group channel, Singer A is seen playing guitar/drum/etc, at the same time, Singer A is also seen in one concert playing piano, and then decided those are notable enough and self-deemed as not trivia information to be added into instrumentals field of Infobox musical artist.
In addition, for Sally Amaki, according to history logs, you added the information into the article, so it seem like you are not happy with me removing something you have added. Paper9oll (🔔📝) 06:06, 21 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I did not add the one for Hiro Mizushima, however. Also, this isn't her group channel; this is her individual channel that she personally runs. lullabying (talk) 06:44, 21 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Lullabying I believe I have repeated it multiple times already that it should only be included if they are notable mainly as YouTube personality with wide coverage from independent secondary sources. In answering to what was initially asked, Sakura isn't notable mainly as YouTube personality nor is there sufficient coverage from independent secondary sources that are not considered unreliable to support she is mainly notable as such. I'm not going to debate, whether you added Infobox YouTube personality to either Hiro Mizushima and any other Japanese musician/actor/writer/director/etc article or not as this is going to be an never ending discussion. And as mentioned previously, such information are trivia and shouldn't even be included in Wikipedia in the first place when notability as YouTube personality can't established and inclusion is supported by self-published primary source only which pretty much violates 5P1, 5P2, NOT and BLP. Delete the wrong things only

Thank you for correcting me. But please delete on wrong/unreliable enough things only. I took hours to view every single pages of several articles. And you deleted everything from me because you think you’re right? Is Gaon a reliable source? Yes, it is. Is Soompi a reliable source? Yes, it is. And what I said is always linked to a source. So delete things belong to not reliable source enough ONLY. Not EVERYTHING which I took hours to write. Callmeur (talk) 16:44, 22 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
