Shark Swarm (film)

Shark Swarm is a Hallmark Channel original movie that first aired on television on May 25, 2008. It was directed by James A. Contner and written by Matthew Chernov and David Rosiak. The film stars Daryl Hannah, John Schneider and Armand Assante. Although the movie is rated "M" in Australia and "16" in the Netherlands, Shark Swarm is not rated in the U.S.

Plot

When people go missing in the coastal town of Full Moon Bay, fisherman Daniel Wilder (John Schneider) discovers a swarm of mutant Great White sharks, forty strong, cutting through the waters with one horrifying purpose-to kill. As tourist season quickly becomes feeding time, Daniel enlists the help of his wife, Brooke (Daryl Hannah) and a marine biologist (Heather McComb) to save the locals and bring calm before the swarm.

Reception

The TV movie had received a mixture of positive and negative reviews and holds an IMDB Rating of 3.6/10.

Goofs

Here are some slight errors that were made in the making of this film.

In the beginning, when Deacon and Weaver are at the old power plant, Weaver is turning the valve to the pipe releasing the toxic sludge underwater and we see he's wearing a hat and a green shirt. But, in the next shot, he is wearing a red shirt with a gray fleese-jacket and the same hat.

Near the ending, after the sharks have attacked the beach, we see a man dragging another man who can't move because his leg has been bitten off by one of the sharks, and his shorts are saturated in blood. In the next shot, when a Para-Medic comes in to wrap up his leg with a band to prevent anymore blood flow, there is absolutely no blood on his shorts.

When Kim and Brooke first meet Chris and Weezer, you will notice the sky alternately changing from being cloudy, to sunny, to cloudy and then to sunny again.
