Add this to the Kenneth Alan Vanir theory list. Another page where he added his pet theory as fact. Martijn faassen 23:08, 28 Mar 2004 (UTC)

How did people like Galileo, Copernicus and others in the Renaissance gain any foothold in society? They defied the stubborn, closeminded and apathetic control spheres of the Church. I am simply bringing a theory composed of several sources. I have never actually seen the full composition of such a belief(just bits and pieces hinting at it), but then, we compose Wikipedia in our own format by drawing upon other sources and SHOULD include ORIGINALITY in our takes on the sources to avoid simple repetition of the same knowledge that we all already know without question or critique. I am just not imitating/exploiting the lowest common denominator to fill up the article. Where there are questions and need of answers to issues, I have simply tried to fill the gaps with relevant material that fits because I hate sitting through crappy articles that talk around the issues with just "what people believe" instead of actual analysis and results. I actually use my brain when I study, unlike so many others that just regurgitate exactly what has already been spoken of but nothing new or consequential. Shedding light on issues is what helps people learn, instead of merely redistribution by communique. User:Kenneth Alan
The article stated as fact that the name is derived from Venus, and that the Vanir were her descendants. Presenting original research as established fact is misleading and unethical. -Sean 01:16, 29 Mar 2004 (UTC)
And not the job of wikipedia to boot, not matter what User:Kenneth Alan likes to think. Martijn faassen 20:51, 29 Mar 2004 (UTC)

OK, if you want to be a Pope-clone, by all means, go ahead with your backwards elitist ideals! User:Kenneth Alan

Atheist == papist? news to me. -Sean 20:45, 29 Mar 2004 (UTC)
The real issue is dogmatism, which I am sure you are well aware of in a papal nature, however my intent was to open eyes, not shut them. Hehe is this like 'Eyes Wide Shut', lol. There is a strong link between Freya/Frigg(as in fred/frith=peace, love, fertility, liberty-as in libra used alongside venus in astrology)-Aphrodite by the shear similarities of name and occult nature. I haven't remarked on that in the articles though. With the four deities sharing correspondence, they are likely to have a shared origin despite the natures of the grouped cultures(ie Hellenic/Nordic) espousing them. User:Kenneth Alan

Right now the article has been semi NPOV-ed, saying 'it has been theorized that'. I would like to have some actual cites beyond Kenneth Alan's assertions. These can be added to the article. If none are provided, I will remove this section. Martijn faassen 20:53, 29 Mar 2004 (UTC)

And I went to school in a college town where most everybody went on to college or university especially as a standard, amongst a slew of Ivy League schools. What they in your schools have taught you is to not think, the exact contrary to my instructors' main goals to train youngsters to be informed about the world, not just conforming to the lowest common denominator. User:Kenneth Alan

I encourage you to publish your thoughts and theories and to enlighten the world with them. It is just that wikipedia is not the venue for this. I realize you're very informed about the world and I only conform to the lowest common denominator. I stand in awe of your original and inspiring brilliance. But there is one thing I am correct about: it is not the mission of wikipedia to present original research. Martijn faassen 21:08, 29 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Hej Martijn, I was just speaking of Wikipedia's enlightenment restrictions and your adherence and staunch support of them as the lowest common denominator. Did you miss this? User:Kenneth Alan
