The Blue Horde (Qoq-Orda) was the Eastern constituent part of the Golden Horde centered on Sygnak on the Syr-Darya River. It was one of the descendant states which formed around 1227 in the wake of the Mongol Empire's disintegration. Initially it covered Eastern part of the territory ruled by Jochi and included West of Central Asia and South-Western Siberia. Its first khan was Batu, son of Jochi. Blue Horde was effectively consolidated with White Horde to form the Golden Horde in the 1250s.
