Don Quixote, Op. 35, is a composition by Richard Strauss for cello, viola and orchestra, subtitled "Fantasy Variations on a Theme of Knightly Character." Also known as "Don Quixote, Fantastic Variations for Cello & Orchestra."

Strauss composed this work in Munich in 1897.

It was first performed in Cologne in March, 1898.

Don Quixote has thirteen sections: 1: Introduction 2: Theme: Don Quixote, The Knight Of The Sorrowful Countenance 3: Variation I: Gemaechlich 4: Variation II: Kriegerisch 5: Variation III: Maessiges zeitmass 6: Variation IV: Etwas breiter 7: Variation V: Sehr langsam 8: Variation VI: Schnell 9: Variation VII: Ein wenig ruhiger als vohrer 10: Variation VIII: Gemaechlich 11: Variation IX: Schnell und Stuermisch 12: Variation X: Viel breiter 13: Finale: Sehr ruhig
