Object history Unter Bischof Julius Echter von Mespelbrunn (1573 bis 1617) wurde Euerdorf um 1600 zum Markt erhoben. Mit der Jahreszahl 1650 und der Umschrift S. MARCKT EWERDORF AN DER SAL ist der Abdruck eines Siegels überliefert. Im Schild stehen vier Trauben, die auf den einst bedeutenden, heute jedoch zurückgegangenen Weinanbau hinweisen. Über dem oberen Schildrand schreitet das Gotteslamm mit der Osterfahne. Im 19. Jahrhundert stand dieses allein im Schild. Ein Siegel der Armenpflege von 1830/50 zeigt das Gottesauge im Strahlenkranz. Otto Hupp brachte das alte Wappenbild wieder in Erinnerung. Die Wiederannahme des alten Wappens ohne das Gotteslamm erfolgte 1959.
