Hi; at topics related to the Israel-Arab conflict, editors are restricted to one revert every 24 hours: An editor must not perform more than one reverts on a single page—whether involving the same or different material—within a 24-hour period. An edit or a series of consecutive edits that undoes or manually reverses other editors' actions—whether in whole or in part—counts as a revert.

You have made two reverts within a 24 hour period:

  1. 00:16, 14 July 2024
  2. 00:39, 14 July 2024

Please self-revert 00:39, 14 July 2024 to bring yourself back into compliance with this restriction. And FYI, as far as I know every RfC that has been held on the question has come to a consensus to include "Hamas-run" or similar terminology on the first mention of the Health Ministry, due to reliable sources considering this important information.

In addition, the "childish strikes through arguments people don't agree with" you removed were done because those editors were not extended confirmed; I encourage you to revert that as well, as such editors are forbidden from participating in the topic area. BilledMammal (talk) 00:46, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The consensus is not for "Hamas-run" to be included. I reverted his initial edit back to what it was before. It is on you, not me, to stop pushing this change without consenus. Ecpiandy (talk) 00:54, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm popping in to say the same thing. You've violated 1RR. Also, please review WP:ECR for information about the extended-confirmed restriction that applies to the topic. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 00:54, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No I reverted the initial edit which added the new text in. BilledMammal then reverted my revertion, hence taking it up to 2 Reverts. Ecpiandy (talk) 00:56, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You made a reversion, you were reverted, them you made a second reversion. That is a violation of WP:1RR. Please self-revert. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 00:57, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
FYI, when you self-revert I'll partially self-revert to remove the aspects I agree are problematic. Sorry for not doing so initially - I overlooked some of the aspects of your edit. Hopefully that will make you more willing to self-revert? BilledMammal (talk) 00:57, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Urm yeah it is better to talk through on talk page, I'd keep the "Hamas-run" and "Like in all wars" part out for now if it's up to me as seems a big step to keep in, if those are the problematic parts you are referring to. Otherwise yeah can self-revert and ask talk page. Ecpiandy (talk) 01:01, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, I was referring to "Some sources have hypothesised that there may be" and "though it is not known who was responsible", but I'm happy to remove "Like in all wars" (true, and context is important, but that's a bad way to provide the context).
Hamas-run I'd prefer to keep, given previous consensus and the frequency of mention in reliable sources, but if it will help resolve this I'll self-revert that as well.
However, technically you do need to self-revert everything, and then I can self-revert those aspects to get them out again. BilledMammal (talk) 01:08, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Undone for now. Ecpiandy (talk) 01:13, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 01:15, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, and made the reverts we discussed. BilledMammal (talk) 01:19, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
In terms of the "childish strikes" thing, I was unable of this extended-confirmed rule so I have rollbacked that, thanks for letting me know. Ecpiandy (talk) 00:58, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No problem, I see you're new to the topic area. BilledMammal (talk) 01:08, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback should not be used on good-faith edits, as you did here. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 13:41, 19 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring

[edit]

If you make another revert of the Gaza material at List of genocides I will block you for edit warring. There is currently an RFC going on, and there was no established consensus to include the material. You have no excuse for edit warring, even if it's slow. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 00:02, 25 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please explain

[edit]

Which of the sources in this diff support your change to supporters of Israel? ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 17:42, 25 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Notice that you are now subject to an arbitration enforcement topic ban

[edit]

The following topic ban now applies to you:

You are indefinitely topic banned from the Arab/Israel conflict, broadly construed

You have been sanctioned for canvassing, edit warring, NPOV, and battleground editing

This topic ban is imposed in my capacity as an uninvolved administrator under the authority of the Arbitration Committee's decision at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Index/Palestine-Israel articles#Final decision and, if applicable, the contentious topics procedure. This sanction has been recorded in the log of sanctions. Please read WP:TBAN to understand what a topic ban is. If you do not comply with the topic ban, you may be blocked for an extended period to enforce the ban.

If you wish to appeal the ban, please read the appeals process. You are free to contact me on my talk page if anything of the above is unclear to you. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 22:55, 26 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

July 2024

[edit]
To enforce an arbitration decision, and for Edit warring after warning, you have been blocked from editing Wikipedia for a period of 1 week. You are welcome to edit once the block expires; however, please note that the repetition of similar behavior may result in a longer block or other sanctions.

If you believe this block is unjustified, please read the guide to appealing blocks (specifically this section) before appealing. Place the following on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Please copy my appeal to the [[WP:AE|arbitration enforcement noticeboard]] or [[WP:AN|administrators' noticeboard]]. Your reason here OR place the reason below this template. ~~~~}}. If you intend to appeal on the arbitration enforcement noticeboard, I suggest you use the arbitration enforcement appeals template on your talk page so it can be copied over easily. You may also appeal directly to me (by email), before or instead of appealing on your talk page.

ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 23:06, 26 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Reminder to administrators: In May 2014, ArbCom adopted the following procedure instructing administrators regarding Arbitration Enforcement blocks: "No administrator may modify a sanction placed by another administrator without: (1) the explicit prior affirmative consent of the enforcing administrator; or (2) prior affirmative agreement for the modification at (a) AE or (b) AN or (c) ARCA (see "Important notes" [in the procedure]). Administrators modifying sanctions out of process may at the discretion of the committee be desysopped."

Ok I apologise, I will make sure to follow Wiki rules ongoing post my ban, I'm sorry for being over the top and affecting the edit warrining on this issue. Sorry Ecpiandy (talk) 03:37, 27 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
