Thermoregulation is the ability o an organism tae keep its body temperatur within certain boondaries, even when the surroondin temperatur is very different. A thermoconformin organism, bi contrast, simply adopts the surroondin temperatur as its ain body temperatur, thus avoidin the need for internal thermoregulation. The internal thermoregulation process is ane aspect o homeostasis: a state o dynamic stability in an organism's internal condeetions, maintained far frae equilibrium wi its environment (the study o such processes in zoology haes been cried physiological or physiological ecology).
