Calymmian

The Calymmian is the first geological period in the Mesoproterozoic. It began 1.6 billion years ago and ended at 1.4 billion years ago.

In the period new land was formed. The supercontinent Columbia broke up during the Calymmian about 1.5 billion years ago.
