Tex Vandale was a male executive on the board of Tapani Starship Cooperative during the Galactic Civil War between the Alliance to Restore the Republic and the Galactic Empire. During the war he sympathized with the Alliance and gave Rebel Cells in the Tapani sector access to starships made by the cooperative. He was willing to sell ships to the Alliance through fake accounts, but only if absolutely convinced that it was safe.^[1]

Behind the scenes[]

Tex Vandale first appeared as a possible ally for Rebel heroes in the campaign guide included in Lords of the Expanse, a 1997 supplement to Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game by West End Games. The supplement was written by Paul Sudlow and Chris Doyle, and did not clarify Vandale's species.
