Li Shi Zhen's descendant, Li Ji Shi who is the young master of a medicinal cuisine restaurant called Xian Cao Tang, takes in Ming Yi and Bi Zheng. He believes that they came from the Ming Dynasty and expresses that he will research on the methods of time travelling to find a way to send them back. Ji Shi offers to take in Ming Yi and Bi Zheng, but in actual fact has his own motives for helping them, as he wishes to travel back in time to 10 years ago to reconcile and rebuild the relationship with his then-girlfriend. Ming Yi feels relieved to know that Ya San must not have been killed. Meanwhile, Ting Ting acts aloof and cold towards Ji Shi, as she cannot forgive him for his mistake made in the past when he performed acupuncture on her, leading to a car accident that left her disabled.

Xiao Sa suggests to hold a class gathering with their old school mates at Xiao Cao Tang, creating an opportunity for Ji Shi to meet with Ting Ting, while also promoting the herbal cuisine restaurant. Ji Shi requests Si When, the chef, to cook Ting Ting's favourite "braised quail" dish. Bi Zheng was asked to buy the quail for the dish, but to save time, he brought back some pigeons from the back alley instead. Eventually, Ting Ting was absent...

Belinda was admitted to the hospital from food poisoning after eating at Xian Cao Tang and demanded Ji Shi to compensate, causing Xian Cao Tang to enter a crisis. While giving out flyers with Bi Zheng, Ming Yi mistakenly eats food containing chilli which she is allergic to, resulting in an allergic reaction that caused her to have difficulty breathing. Bi Zheng realises that he had been cheated, coughs blood and faints in anger. He accuses Xiao Sa of colluding with others to trick him, demanding Xiao Sa to return him his money. Feeling extremely disappointed with Xiao Sa, Shao Tong tells him to find the conman, get Bi Zheng's money back...

Ming Yi and Bi Zheng time travels back to the cave in the Ming Dynasty. Ming Yi was elated to find out that Li Shi Zhen was still alive. In her moment of happiness, Bi Zheng suddenly holds a knife to her neck. It turns out that Bi Zheng wants to cut a handful of Ming Yi's hair, so he can lie to say that it was his hair cut by the person who broke into jail. He hurries Ming Yi to leave so she would not hinder him...

Eunuch Sun performs sorcery on Bi Zheng and takes out his phone, asking him what it was. Eunuch Sun had raised his suspicions towards Bi Zheng for a while and had sent people to follow him, finding the modern items he had hidden. Eunuch Sun and Lord Gong were awed by the bizarre images on the phone and the powerful weapons. Bi Zheng tells them about his time travel journey and his story makes both of them yearn for the modern world.

Li Shi Zhen prepares a pot of ginseng stew for Lord Gong. Little does he expect Lord Gong to suffer from poisoning, and was locked up in jail. Ming Yi disguises herself, following Bi Zheng into the jail, and realises that Ya San could finally speak. Bi Zheng interrogates Ya San about the hidden treasure map, but she could not remember anything. Bi Zheng and Ming Yi performs hypnosis on her, helping Ya San to finally recall and draw out the map.

Bi Zheng offers the treasure map to Eunuch Sun, hoping that he would release Li Shi Zhen. However, Eunuch Sun has another plan in mind and goes back on his words. The emperor sentences Li Shi Zhen to be beheaded, as well as his entire family to be executed. Ming Yi rescues Li Shi Zhen, and enters a sword fight with Bi Zheng in a cave. In a moment of thunder and lightning, they travelled back to an abandon house in the modern day again...

Bi Zheng and Ming Yi search for Ji Shi and Shao Tong, but were unable to find them, and Xian Cao Tang was nowhere to be found. The two found Liang Liang in a school, as well as Xiao Sa and Si Wen thereafter, but neither of them knew them, and did not know who Shao Tong was. Meanwhile, Eunuch Sun and Lord Gong arrives in the modern world. However, without a legal identity, they feel restricted and were unable to get much done.

Bi Zheng finds an Imperial Guard signal flare, piquing his curiosity. He goes forward and finds Lord Gong and Eunuch Sun, who instructs Bi Zheng to join and serve them. Under Eunuch Sun's authoritarian power, Bi Zheng consumes a pill that will slowly releases toxins into his system. Unless he receives the antidote, the toxins will kill him. Feeling hopeless, Bi Zheng plans for Ming Yi's future...

Ming Yi is unable to find Xiao Sa or Bi Zheng, but was thankfully taken in by Ting Ting. The current Ting Ting is not a psychologist; instead, she is a martial arts artiste and is not handicapped. Feeling grateful, Ming Yi helps Ting Ting and her mother cook herbal dishes.
