碧昂絲在接受公告牌雜誌的採訪的時候，曾透露《Single Ladies(Put A Ring On It)》的MV的靈感來源於Gwen Verdon在1969年拍攝的一個音樂視頻。而且該歌曲的MV是她所以的MV以來拍攝時間最短的，所耗資金最少的。但同樣在該MV的燈光、髮型、服裝、舞蹈編排上，也消耗了碧昂絲她們許多精力。
