Woman Heading Towards Delhi Died Mid-Flight While Scrolling Through Photos, Co-Passenger Recalls

A Indian-origin woman Manpreet Kaur, who died mid-flight, her co-passenger recalls the experience and calls it a haunting memory. The 24-year-old woman was suffering from some health issues for the past few months. Her parents are forced to apply for visas to attend their daughter's funeral in Australia.

Delhi: When a 24-year-old woman suddenly died moments before her flight from Melbourne to New Delhi took off, a man seated next to her recalls the heart-wrenching incident. The incident occurred on June 20 when a woman identified as Manpreet Kaur boarded a Qantas flight to travel to Delhi. While she was putting her seatbelt, she died on the spot.
Ravindra Arora, the man who was sitting next to her noticed Manpreet when he was taking his seat. Arora began narrating the incident and said that when he was boarding the plan, she was already seated on the aisle seat. He was supposed to sit on the window seat, hence, he requested her to get up, so he could move to his seat, NewsAu report said.
Later, he observed that Ms Kaur was surfing through old photos on her mobile phone and after a while she stopped scrolling, as she came across a photograph of an elderly couple. He asked her that if they were her parents. In response, she smiled and kept staring at the photograph.
The 24-year-old, Ms Kaur was going to India for the first time in four years. As the plane began its journey on the runaway, Ravindra shared that the woman leaned forward resting her head on the seat. But he observed that something was fishy and informed the crew, NewsAU report added.
Despite, the best of efforts by the flight attendants, they could not revive her. And Ravindra Arora still remains haunted by the tragedy. He also shared that the incident has been embedded in his memory forever. It was extremely hard for him to digest the fact that a young girl with whom he just began interacting died in front of him.
He added that her innocent face haunts him and he wants her parents to know that she loved them a lot. And she left peacefully while lovingly gazing at her parent’s photograph. He said that it breaks his heart that her family who were eagerly waiting for her come back, now cannot see her anymore.
Manpreet Kaur was studying in Melbourne and wanted to become a chef. Her body cannot leave Australia because she died from tuberculosis. Therefore, her parents need to apply for visas to attend their daughter’s funeral.
Her family said that her health was continuously deteriorating in the past few months and she had difficulty talking and her body was weak to do a anything.
