Godfrey Lohman, a local artist, has turned Timberlake's portrait, which depicts him with fiery red bloodshot eyes, into an artwork. Despite its title, 'Tuesday Night Out with Justin Timberlake,' the piece serves his Tuesday morning arrest. Lohman spotted artistic potential in the mugshot and presented it to the Romany Kramoris Gallery, lovingly known as the ‘Queen of Sag Harbor’ for its 44-year history.
Gallery owner Romany Kramoris was thrilled when Lohman presented the artwork, exclaiming, "My reaction was, Oh my God! That’s great! It’s just great!" The piece, priced at $520, is reportedly available in several colours and has been attracting nonstop lines of onlookers eager to capture the artwork, making Timberlake's mugshot a local sensation. Gallery employee Leslie Raff describes it as their most contemporary piece!
Kramoris remarked ,"The green one isn't my favourite. He looks a little sickly, too many martinis on the green one". Kramoris also said that they have already sold a lot and that many people are returning to purchase more. The owner also indicated that, while some people were sceptical of the art, others were enthusiastic, particularly the youngsters.
While his mugshot has garnered recognition in the art world, Timberlake has moved on from the incident and resumed his professional activities. The Cry Me River singer has resumed his 'The Forget Tomorrow' tour, including headlining performances at several stops. Despite the uproar, Timberlake remains focused on his career, leaving the peculiar fame of his mugshot to fuel local art culture.
