Indian 2 Cleared For Release By Censor Board

The Censor Board of Film Certification has cleared ace director Shankar’s much-awaited action thriller Indian 2 for release with a U/A Certificate. The film, which will have Kamal Haasan returning as the vigilante Senapathy, has a run time of three hours and four seconds.
Expectations from the film are the huge as Indian 2, the second instalment of the immensely popular franchise gets ready to hit screens on July 12.
The makers have already announced that there will be a third part to the film and this announcement has only gone on to add to the excitement.

Minor Changes Suggested

The censor certificate shows that by and large the film has had no cuts. Five minor changes have been suggested by the Censor Board. These include smoking disclaimers to be made bigger, a scene with body exposure having to be modified and removal of certain phrases and expletives used in some scenes. The Censor Board has specified in its order that the unit must also provide a No Objection certificate for copyrighted content, which has already been done.

Shankar Lauds Kamal Haasan

Ace director Shankar has lauded actor Kamal Haasan, saying the actor was the prime reason for the film having turned out this well. Stating that he could go on and on about Kamal Haasan’s dedication and discipline, Shankar had pointed out that Kamal was someone who was up to any challenge that was thrown at him.

Shankar also recalled how Kamal Haasan would be the first person on the set and how wearing prosthetics could be a time consuming and exacting affair.
The Challenge Of Wearing Prosthetic Make Up
“The prime reason for this film coming out so well is Kamal Haasan. Even in part I, he had to wear that prosthetic make up and shoot for only 40 days. In this film, he had to wear it for 70 days. Daily, it would take three hours to put that prosthetic make up. Once that make up is on, he could not eat any solid food. So, he would only have liquid food. It would take an hour for the make up to be removed. So, after we packed up, he would be the last to leave."
