Hyderabad: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts a generally cloudy sky with occasional spells of rain or thundershowers on Monday. The maximum temperature is expected to reach 29 degrees Celsius, with a minimum of 22 degrees Celsius. Reportedly, in view of the anticipated rainfall, the department has issued a yellow alert for July 8 and 9.

On July 8, Adilabad, Nirmal, Kumaram Bheem, Mancherial, Jagtial, Nizamabad, Kamareddy, Rajanna Sircilla, Sangareddy, Medak, Siddipet, Vikarabad, Malkajgiri, Bhuvanagiri, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Mahabubnagar, Wanaparthy, Nagarkurnool, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Khammam, Mahabubabad, and Kothagudem will receive heavy rainfall, IMD Hyderabad predicted. On Saturday evening, various areas of the city encountered scattered light rainfall accompanied by gusty winds. Various parts of the state also experienced light to moderate rains at isolated places in Bhadradri Kothagudem, Jagtial, Kamareddy, Mahabubabad, Mahbubnagar, Medak, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Nizamabad, Rajanna-Sircilla, Rangareddy, Sangareddy, Vikarabad, Warangal, Peddapalli, and Nalgonda districts, among others, as per a New Indian Express report.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), a cyclonic circulation in the east-central Bay of Bengal has shifted to the west-central Bay of Bengal near the south Andhra Pradesh coast, located between 5.8 and 7.6 kilometers above mean sea level. This weather system is expected to bring light to moderate rains or thundershowers to the state.
