    As per the Pune Pulse report, an orange alert has been issued for isolated areas in Gujarat, Konkan, and the ghats of Maharashtra from July 4 to July 8. Specific regions such as Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Kolhapur, Satara, and Pune are anticipated to receive heavy rainfall during this period. Thunderstorms accompanied by rain are also forecasted in Vidarbha from July 4 to July 8. Anupam Kashyapi, former head of the IMD, presented a detailed weather report suggesting that Mumbai could see isolated heavy rainfall on July 5, with Pune expecting mostly light to moderate rain.
    In another news, in the aftermath of the devastating incident near Bhushi Dam, where five individuals were swept away by a waterfall on Sunday, the Pune district administration has taken prompt measures to ensure the safety of tourists during the monsoon season and issued a prohibitory order at various picnic spots across the district. Prohibitory orders have been imposed at popular picnic spots, waterfalls, and dams in Maval, Bhor, Velha, Junnar, Mulshi, Khed, and Ambegaon tehsils of Pune district, including the dams region, effective July 2 to 31. These orders aim to prevent such tragedies and ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for tourists.
    The administration has outlined a series of safety measures for hazardous tourist locations, which include identification and demarcation of dangerous areas, the presence of lifeguards and rescue teams, the installation of warning boards, etc.
