Instructions

If you notice that a Wikipedia user is showing signs of stress, taking a wikibreak, or considering leaving the project altogether, please add the user to the appropriate list below so that the Esperanza community can intervene with encouraging comments and suggestions. You are welcome to add your own username to any of the lists if you wish to receive support from the community. Or if someone else has added your user name to the list and you wish to be left alone, you may remove yourself from the list.

Each entry should remain on this page until the issue is resolved or for approximately one month. "Leaving Wikipedia" alerts that do not succeed in encouraging prominent users to stay with the project should be archived to the list of missing Wikipedians.

Stressbusters has some suggestions for actions you might take in response to these alerts.

User:Raichu I am slightly thinking about leaving this project due to WikiStress. I probably won't, but don't be VERY suprised if I do. My problems with this project are:

Not enough or too much contexts about "Controversy", such as private school, I have many problems with private schools from personal experience: Kids bully me because I can't afford the tuition and all clothes so I have to get hand-me-downs, (but the teachers don't do anything about it) my family need all the financial aide we can get, A boy physically attacked me, but he recieved an extremely light punishment, yet when I just said something mean to someone in an arguement, I got in BIG trouble. (this all promotes my real life stress).

Cyde: Cyde proposed a ton of UBXs for deletion (and actually deleted some) that I had on my userpage for deletion, without notifing me. The userbox war may claim me...

Those reasons are worse than you think when you are in my world. I'll probably stay, although please reply to me on my talk page. Thank you.

HighwayCello (talk · contribs) I know people are meant to be civil to each other, but everyone hates me here. I mean hates. It's like a knock on effect, I do something, people disagree because I'm doing it, I get mad, it gets brought up somewhere. I can't even get a stupid article up to FA because everyone is so against me, instead of people giving advice, or pointers, I get "maybe you should write about something else" or "it will never be FA", and I am just seeing red because of it. If a certain other user nominated the article, it would get it because they were popular, I'm not being snide- it's true. They respect older members' judgement, and they get more votes. I go through the FAs and they are all as good as (some worse) than the one I'm trying to promote, and it doesn't make a damn difference.

I can't even pass my RfA, because of all the shouting and everything is just depressing me. There is nothing I want more to get done than get this stupid article promoted, and it'll never happen. I have to go pick a fight with someone else, don't want to ruin my bad reputation.

ILovePlankton (talk · contribs) As gathered on IRC, he is considering leaving Wikipedia. Primary reasons are that he feels hated, RFA issues (mainly loyalties to friends), and possibly signature. 18:17, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
FellowWikipedian (talk · contribs) Had problems with users saying that I might be an anon. Not getting the right links to stuff.

Deletions are sometimes stressing! It's these users that get me into things like deletions and debates on stuff. An RFA would be realy stressing.
