Curious to hear what our employees think of RubyPlay? 🤔 Last Saturday at Showers, I had the chance to have an interesting chat with Fabio De Martino: 💬 Ciao Irene! I'm Fabio, from Italy 🇮🇹 , but I've been living in Malta for the past 8 years. Throughout this time, Malta has become my home, my place! 🏠 It's an incredibly beautiful island in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea, and it's a great hub for tech companies. The FinTech and iGaming industries are the biggest on the island and provide great opportunities to grow both professionally and personally. 🌟 The melting pot here, with people from all over Europe and the world, makes a huge difference in this scenario. 🌍 Everyone brings different know-how, and we can all learn something from each other. 📚 I started working as an Account Manager in iGaming, as I have been in sales for quite a long time. Even when I wasn't working specifically in a commercial department, I always added my commercial skills to any negotiation or transaction. 💼 I was moved by my propensity for human relationships combined with commercial/sales activities. 🤝 I then decided to join RubyPlay because of the team, the company's vision, and I can also say now, that the passion that we put into creating new games and mechanics is simply incredible, fascinating, and attractive! 🎰✨ We bring the best talent together to make the best company and the best games on the market! 🏆 Another great point about RubyPlay is the flexibility in working remotely and from wherever you like, something that in 2024 is crucial to attract and retain talent. 🏝️💻 It gives you the freedom to live far away from the company's office or simply to move to another country, giving you the possibility to be close to your family or to be based wherever you like the most. On the other hand, you don't have the same amount of human interaction with your colleagues; small things like a coffee break ☕ face-to-face is something that is missing. However, specifically at RubyPlay, we try to bring some of this interaction online, and we always organize activities where we can be together and have some fun! 🎉 I would say if someone wants to approach the iGaming industry, it would be better to try to understand how this sector works, make connections at Expos/Conferences 🎤, and truly understand which skills can be most beneficial for a company. 🛠️

Today is my professional anniversary, 14 months and 2 days in iGaming. Till this date, I am confused by not being able to connect with some leads - they simply not replying my nice messages. Why? I have few hypothesis: 1. They are busy playing: as iGaming industry is all about games, they might take advantage and have fun themselves 2. Their mom told them not to reply to strangers 3. They are stuck, lost or else in the woods. 4. They do not know, that my boss set some KPIs for me There may be more. You are welcome to add your hypothesis in comments. This is a sensitive topic, and I want to hear your thoughts. Affiliate marketing is a standard in iGaming. Marketing agencies? Less so. But what's the difference? Affiliates work on CPA/hybrid /rev share, while agencies work on marketing budget %. So why do you think working with affiliates rather than marketing agencies is so common? Here are my thoughts: 1. Rev share with affiliates is a no-brainer. You pay based on results, but this limits your ability to scale. And few performance-based affiliates will work with you, if any. 2. Hybrid - is a model that affiliates are now favouring, but one that operators are generally reluctant to unless there’s an affiliate they really want to work with. The operator pays a small CPA to gain long-term revenues. 3. CPA - tough to measure, tough to scale. For those with balls and budgets. A lot of incentivised traffic sometimes. You will probably encounter a lot of scammers and fraudsters before building sustainable and scalable CPA traffic. And for an agency: 1. You need to provide the budget upfront. 2. Usually more deeply ingrained in your full strategy, work closely on retention, etc. 3. Agency works as an extension of your team. 4. Long-term for the operator - more sustainable and cheaper outcome. 5. But a friend once said - if the agency is good, why would they work on % if the affiliate model is more profitable? This is also a good point, as affiliate margins are higher than the usual 30-40% of spend commission. Your thoughts? Which model is more accepted in our industry now? Which is the one to push?

You’d think data security on iGaming platforms is top-notch. Are you ready for this talk? Here’s an example. An acquaintance noticed unusual traffic patterns on their operator's website that runs on a third-party platform.  The traffic was being stolen and redirected elsewhere. To track the data, they paid someone.  He managed to find the operator who was stealing their traffic and downloaded files from their website to prove the point. (Let’s skip the ethics for now.) How did the software provider miss such a security violation? In this case, the operator might have not even noticed the data extraction. Many platforms still lack basic security features, despite their claims. You won’t notice the “virtual” risks until they hit your company or wallet in reality. Remember Myrphy’s law? I, Igor Glukhikh, express extreme concern and disappointment about the fraudulent activities of the BetPlays online casino and the AskGamblers platform, which is supposed to protect the interests of players. Instead of helping and supporting players, AskGamblers shows complete indifference, and possibly even collaborates with dishonest operators. The situation I encountered: Fraud with BetPlays (My ID: 12721673): BetPlays Casino refused to pay out $400 in winnings without explanation. Despite providing all the documents and evidence of fair play, my funds were stolen. Inefficiency and inaction of AskGamblers: The AskGamblers platform not only failed to resolve the issues but also rejected my complaints despite providing chat logs and screenshots clearly showing the fraud. This behavior raises suspicions of collusion between AskGamblers and BetPlays. Pragmatic Play - I believe that the company is also involved in this situation. I registered with BetPlays through their affiliate link. Pragmatic Play set a spin limit for me to prevent me from winning their tournament. My RTP is also low.
