Edlin

This is an old revision of this page, as edited by Drj (talk | contribs) at 15:53, 28 November 2002 (modelled after ed and qed). The present address (URL) is a permanent link to this revision, which may differ significantly from the current revision.

The EDLIN line editor was the only text editor provided with MS-DOS before version 5.0 of that system, when it was superseded (but still available) by the full screen EDIT editor. EDLIN is probably modelled after the line editors qed or ed but it is (like many things in DOS) less powerful.
