Setting sun on the remaining trees discloses what the powers call progress. This is clearing for a road that borders a large park in the city of Wasilla, Alaska. The clearing cuts off a number of trails where I walked the dogs and was amazed that we had such a place in a densely populated area. Soon to be a paved road with traffic zooming by and new housing developments. The price for progress in a rapidly growing area. I guess we should enjoy what we have while we can as there is no going back. Sorry to rant and thanks for your visit!

These are some amazing animals from Rezz Room and the snowy build from Fanatik. This is a tribute to the lovely animals from the cold regions of the world.

Arctic and Alaska has been in the news (unfortunately not in forefront) lately, as several countries sadly are giving access to oil companies for expanding drill projects, putting the beautiful beings at risk. Where does the greed end? or does it.

Alaska

2 non-consecutive shots on the approach to Hatcher Pass. Noticed later that they were almost a perfect end-to-end fit. Always intended to go back and reprocess them together, and now I have. Geotag is approximate.

I created a photo illustration from some photos I took on our recent Alaska trip. I really wanted to see the Bald Eagle in the sky over this scene and the whale in such a gorgeous background, but it didn't happen until I combined the parts together on my computer after I got home.

Mountains and clouds

My favorite time of year - early spring in Alaska. Bare road surfaces - sunny skies - and snow covered mountains, make for abundant photo-op's.

Resurrection Bay - Seward, Alaska.

Wildflowers grow prolifically along Alaska's roadside's each summer. There are miles upon miles of pink, purple, and yellow flowers.

This little bouquet popped up at the end of our driveway, along with many other varieties. After our long cold winter - it is so wonderful to see color again.
