Bolt features that require the app to stay running in the background:

• Emergency assist: Riders can quickly and discreetly alert an emergency response team with our in-app Emergency Assist button. This also notifies our dedicated safety team, who will make an immediate welfare call.
• Audio trip recording: Allows riders to trigger an in-app audio recording if they ever feel uncomfortable during a ride.
• Private phone details: When a rider makes a call via our app, the caller’s phone number remains hidden.

The app advertises services it cannot provide. It gives the option to "schedule" a trip for a certain time and date, despite not actually having scheduled anything with a driver. The app confirms the trip and charges you BEFORE they have actually sorted the trip on their end. They also have the audacity to threaten you with an £11 cancellation fee if you cancel less than hour before your pick up time. Except they have no issues with cancelling on you at a moments notice.

Predatory prices, and atrocious app. Bolt has increased the prices, now expensive for casual rides. The app is designed to steal money; before the ride is unlocked, seconds are charged (5/10"). Sometimes it displays a parking banner when ending the ride, so that other seconds are lost. Finally, ending the ride itself takes several seconds. When parking, more than half of the screen is taken by the information widget, which makes the app barely usable on small screens.

All of a sudden the price jumps up for a very short trip and somehow first time ever all cars are busy somehow. Very clearly a problem with the app and yet they keep insisting it's not the case when I know the country I live in and how people act with taxis and how impossible it would be for all cars to be busy at the same time. Terrible service and terrible support
