Description
English: Panoramic view of Old (in the left side) and New Delhi around or before 1857. River Jumna with a bridge of boats. Nigumhod Gate, Moree Gate, Lahore Gate and other gates. Selim Ghur Fort (Salimgarh Fort), The Palace, Jahanara Begum's caravanserai (?) at Chandni Chowk (4). 'Metcalfe House' near the river bank. The line of sight is approximately to the southwest, the mountains in the background are probably fantasy mountains.
Deutsch: Panorama des alten, mit einer Stadtmauer mit Toren ummauerten Delhi (heute Neu Delhi) ungefähr um 1857. Über den Fluss Yamuna (damals "Jumna") ist eine auf Booten gelagerte Brücke gebaut. Die Blickrichtung ist etwa nach Südwest, die Berge im Hintergrund sind vermutlich Phantasieberge.
