I was introduced to Ulysses by Roger Cummiskey the world renowned Joycean Artist in 1994 when I was running a small Internet business from an even smaller office on Capel Street Dublin, at the heart of the Hibernian Metropolis as Joyce puts it. It was ten years later that we decided to embark on a documentary which concentrated on the locations of the book. In remastering the documentary another ten years later I wondered if there were any recording available of him speaking. I have tried to clean some of the fading on this recording to little avail but it still holds a special meaning listening to the Genius read his own words.
