WikiProject Interesting Content

Know of a noteworthy project or innovative research analysis that wouldn't be possible without Wikidata? Do you use a cool tool or gadget built by the community that deserves some recognition? Got an interesting or funny fact about Wikidata that you want to share?

You've come to the right place! This page is for nominating content to be featured (temporarily) on the Main page under the "Discover" section.

Here's how to get started:

  • Review the types of interesting content this WikiProject is interested in highlighting on the Main page; remember though, these suggestions are only guidelines so don't feel limited by them
  • Check the Library of Interesting Content first to make sure your idea for content hasn't already been approved
  • Use our handy {{Template:Featured_content_proposal}} and add your idea for content to the appropriate section below! Please add links to accompanying freely-licensed image files on Commons if possible
  • Promote and participate in the decision-making process

Proposed content: Wikidata Query(see also http://tools.wmflabs.org/wikidata-todo/autolist.html?) by User:Magnus Manske
Reason: demonstrates the power and potential of a structured knowledge base; i.e. compound queries
Summary: Ever wondered...? (take idea from Wikidata:AutoLists or come up with something novel/funny/interesting). Using this tool you can ask sophisticated questions of Wikidata and 'query' the knowledge base to find combinations of properties or missing relationships.
