Indoor humidity is a crucial factor affecting people's health and well-being. Wireless humidity sensing techniques are scalable and low-cost, making them a promising solution for measuring humidity in indoor environments without requiring additional devices. Such, machine learning (ML) assisted WiFi sensing is being envisioned as the key enabler for integrated sensing and communication (ISAC). However, the current WiFi-based sensing systems, such as WiHumidity, suffer from low accuracy. We propose an enhanced WiFi-based humidity detection framework to address this issue that utilizes innovative filtering and data processing techniques to exploit humidity-specific channel state information (CSI) signatures during RF sensing. These signals are then fed into ML algorithms for detecting different humidity levels. Specifically, our improved de-noising solution for the CSI captured by commodity hardware for WiFi sensing, combined with the k-th nearest neighbour ML algorithm and resolution tuning technique, helps improve humidity sensing accuracy. Our commercially available hardware-based experiments provide insights into achievable sensing resolution. Our empirical investigation shows that our enhanced framework can improve the accuracy of humidity sensing to 97%.

UI automation tests play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of mobile applications. Despite the growing popularity of machine learning techniques to generate these tests, they still face several challenges, such as the mismatch of UI elements. The recent advances in Large Language Models (LLMs) have addressed these issues by leveraging their semantic understanding capabilities. However, a significant gap remains in applying these models to industrial-level app testing, particularly in terms of cost optimization and knowledge limitation. To address this, we introduce CAT to create cost-effective UI automation tests for industry apps by combining machine learning and LLMs with best practices. Given the task description, CAT employs Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) to source examples of industrial app usage as the few-shot learning context, assisting LLMs in generating the specific sequence of actions. CAT then employs machine learning techniques, with LLMs serving as a complementary optimizer, to map the target element on the UI screen. Our evaluations on the WeChat testing dataset demonstrate the CAT's performance and cost-effectiveness, achieving 90% UI automation with $0.34 cost, outperforming the state-of-the-art. We have also integrated our approach into the real-world WeChat testing platform, demonstrating its usefulness in detecting 141 bugs and enhancing the developers' testing process.

Disordered lattice spin systems are crucial in both theoretical and applied physics. However, understanding their properties poses significant challenges for Monte Carlo simulations. In this work, we investigate the two-dimensional random-bond Ising model using the recently proposed Tensor Network Monte Carlo (TNMC) method. This method generates biased samples from conditional probabilities computed via tensor network contractions and corrects the bias using the Metropolis scheme. Consequently, the proposals provided by tensor networks function as block updates for Monte Carlo simulations. Through extensive numerical experiments, we demonstrate that TNMC simulations can be performed on lattices as large as $1024\times 1024$ spins with moderate computational resources, a substantial increase from the previous maximum size of $64\times 64$ in MCMC. Notably, we observe an almost complete absence of critical slowing down, enabling the efficient collection of unbiased samples and averaging over a large number of random realizations of bond disorders. We successfully pinpoint the multi-critical point along the Nishimori line with significant precision and accurately determined the bulk and surface critical exponents. Our findings suggest that TNMC is a highly efficient algorithm for exploring disordered and frustrated systems in two dimensions.

We present an Eulerian vortex method based on the theory of flow maps to simulate the complex vortical motions of incompressible fluids. Central to our method is the novel incorporation of the flow-map transport equations for line elements, which, in combination with a bi-directional marching scheme for flow maps, enables the high-fidelity Eulerian advection of vorticity variables. The fundamental motivation is that, compared to impulse $\mathbf{m}$, which has been recently bridged with flow maps to encouraging results, vorticity $\boldsymbolω$ promises to be preferable for its numerically stability and physical interpretability. To realize the full potential of this novel formulation, we develop a new Poisson solving scheme for vorticity-to-velocity reconstruction that is both efficient and able to accurately handle the coupling near solid boundaries. We demonstrate the efficacy of our approach with a range of vortex simulation examples, including leapfrog vortices, vortex collisions, cavity flow, and the formation of complex vortical structures due to solid-fluid interactions.

Object grasping is a crucial technology enabling robots to perceive and interact with the environment sufficiently. However, in practical applications, researchers are faced with missing or noisy ground truth while training the convolutional neural network, which decreases the accuracy of the model. Therefore, different loss functions are proposed to deal with these problems to improve the accuracy of the neural network. For missing ground truth, a new predicted category probability method is defined for unlabeled samples, which works effectively in conjunction with the pseudo-labeling method. Furthermore, for noisy ground truth, a symmetric loss function is introduced to resist the corruption of label noises. The proposed loss functions are powerful, robust, and easy to use. Experimental results based on the typical grasping neural network show that our method can improve performance by 2 to 13 percent.

The uncertainty inherent in the environmental transition model of Reinforcement Learning (RL) necessitates a careful balance between exploration and exploitation to optimize the use of computational resources for accurately estimating an agent's expected reward. Achieving balance in control systems is particularly challenging in scenarios with sparse rewards. However, given the extensive prior knowledge available for many environments, it is redundant to begin learning from scratch in such settings. To address this, we introduce \textbf{L}anguage \textbf{M}odel \textbf{G}uided \textbf{T}rade-offs (i.e., \textbf{LMGT}), a novel, sample-efficient framework that leverages the comprehensive prior knowledge embedded in Large Language Models (LLMs) and their adeptness at processing non-standard data forms, such as wiki tutorials. LMGT proficiently manages the exploration-exploitation trade-off by employing reward shifts guided by LLMs, which direct agents' exploration endeavors, thereby improving sample efficiency. We have thoroughly tested LMGT across various RL tasks and deployed it in industrial-grade RL recommendation systems, where it consistently outperforms baseline methods. The results indicate that our framework can significantly reduce the time cost required during the training phase in RL.

Solution-processed light-emitting diodes (LEDs) are appealing for their potential in the low-cost fabrication of large-area devices. However, the limited performance of solution-processed blue LEDs, particularly their short operation lifetime, is hindering their practical use in display technologies. Here, we demonstrate that trace water in device, previously considered detrimental to most solution-processed LEDs, dramatically enhances the performance of quantum-dot LEDs (QLEDs). This breakthrough stems from our comprehensive mechanism investigations into the positive ageing phenomenon, a long-standing puzzle in the QLED field. Our findings reveal that water passivation on the surface of electron-transport layers, which are composed of zinc-oxide-based nanoparticles, improves charge transport and enhances exciton radiative recombination during device operation. Combined with the advanced top-emitting architecture, our blue QLEDs achieve a high current efficiency of 35.5 cd A-1, a blue index (colour coordinate corrected current efficiency) of over 470 cd A-1 CIEy-1, and unprecedented stability, with an extrapolated T95 lifetime (at an initial brightness of 1,000 cd m-2) of 287 hours. Our work may inspire further exploration into surface passivation of nanocrystalline functional layers, critical for the advancement of emerging solution-processed optoelectronic and electronic devices.

Kahneman's dual-system theory elucidates the human decision-making process, distinguishing between the rapid, intuitive System 1 and the deliberative, rational System 2. Recent advancements have positioned large language Models (LLMs) as formidable tools nearing human-level proficiency in various cognitive tasks. Nonetheless, the presence of a dual-system framework analogous to human cognition in LLMs remains unexplored. This study introduces the \textbf{CogniDual Framework for LLMs} (CFLLMs), designed to assess whether LLMs can, through self-training, evolve from deliberate deduction to intuitive responses, thereby emulating the human process of acquiring and mastering new information. Our findings reveal the cognitive mechanisms behind LLMs' response generation, enhancing our understanding of their capabilities in cognitive psychology. Using $7.9~\rm{fb^{-1}}$ of $e^+e^-$ collision data collected at $\sqrt{s}=3.773$ GeV with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, we measure the effective flavor-changing neutral current coupling of $cuγ'$ in $D^0\toωγ'$ and $D^0\toγγ'$ processes to search for the massless dark photon. No significant signals are observed, and the upper limits at the 90% confidence level on the massless dark photon branching fraction are set to be $1.1\times10^{-5}$ and $2.0\times10^{-6}$ for $D^0\toωγ'$ and $D^0\toγγ'$, respectively. These results provide the most stringent constraint on the new physics energy scale associated with $cuγ'$ coupling in the world, with the new physics energy scale related parameter $|\mathbb{C}|^2+|\mathbb{C}_5|^2<8.2\times10^{-17}~\rm{GeV}^{-2}$ at the 90% confidence level, playing a unique role in the dark sector search with the charm sector.

We present a study on manipulation and enhancement of multiphoton bundles emission under a moderate atom-cavity coupling, by constructing a two-photon Jaynes-Cummings model integrated with Kerr nonlinearity in a single atom-cavity system. We show that the vacuum-Rabi splittings for the $n$th dressed states can be significantly enhanced by Kerr interaction. This remarkable enhancement in energy-spectrum anharmonicity with the well-resolved multiphoton resonance facilitates the generation of special nonclassical states beyond the strong-coupling limit in the experiment. In particular, both two- and three-photon blockades are observed with adjusting the amplitude of the cavity-driving or atom-pump fields. Moreover, we discover that transitions between two- and three-photon bundles can be achieved through tuning the atom-cavity detuning or Kerr nonlinearity. It further showcases the three-photon blockade is substantially strengthened when both the cavity and atomic fields are jointly driven. Our proposal unveils a pathway for realizing highly controllable nonclassical states and quantum devices with combining two-photon Jaynes-Cummings interactions and Kerr nonlinearity, which may pave the way for versatile applications in quantum information science, e.g., all-optical switches and transistors.

Goal-driven mobile robot navigation in map-less environments requires effective state representations for reliable decision-making. Inspired by the favorable properties of Bird's-Eye View (BEV) in point clouds for visual perception, this paper introduces a novel navigation approach named BEVNav. It employs deep reinforcement learning to learn BEV representations and enhance decision-making reliability. First, we propose a self-supervised spatial-temporal contrastive learning approach to learn BEV representations. Spatially, two randomly augmented views from a point cloud predict each other, enhancing spatial features. Temporally, we combine the current observation with consecutive frames' actions to predict future features, establishing the relationship between observation transitions and actions to capture temporal cues. Then, incorporating this spatial-temporal contrastive learning in the Soft Actor-Critic reinforcement learning framework, our BEVNav offers a superior navigation policy. Extensive experiments demonstrate BEVNav's robustness in environments with dense pedestrians, outperforming state-of-the-art methods across multiple benchmarks. \rev{The code will be made publicly available at https://github.com/LanrenzzzZ/BEVNav.

Sleep is crucial for human health, and EEG signals play a significant role in sleep research. Due to the high-dimensional nature of EEG signal data sequences, data visualization and clustering of different sleep stages have been challenges. To address these issues, we propose a two-stage hierarchical and explainable feature selection framework by incorporating a feature selection algorithm to improve the performance of dimensionality reduction. Inspired by topological data analysis, which can analyze the structure of high-dimensional data, we extract topological features from the EEG signals to compensate for the structural information loss that happens in traditional spectro-temporal data analysis. Supported by the topological visualization of the data from different sleep stages and the classification results, the proposed features are proven to be effective supplements to traditional features. Finally, we compare the performances of three dimensionality reduction algorithms: Principal Component Analysis (PCA), t-Distributed Stochastic Neighbor Embedding (t-SNE), and Uniform Manifold Approximation and Projection (UMAP). Among them, t-SNE achieved the highest accuracy of 79.8%, but considering the overall performance in terms of computational resources and metrics, UMAP is the optimal choice.

Using $e^+e^-$ collision data collected by the BESIII detector at BEPCII corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 30 $\rm fb^{-1}$, we measure Born cross sections and effective form factors for the process $e^+e^-\toΞ^0\barΞ^0$ at forty-five center-of-mass energies between 3.51 and 4.95 GeV. The dressed cross section is fitted, assuming a power-law function plus a charmonium(-like) state, i.e., $ψ(3770)$, $ψ(4040)$, $ψ(4160)$, $ψ(4230)$, $ψ(4360)$, $ψ(4415)$ or $ψ(4660)$. No significant charmonium(-like) state decaying into $Ξ^0\barΞ^0$ is observed. Upper limits at the 90% confidence level on the product of the branching fraction and the electronic partial width are provided for each decay. In addition, ratios of the Born cross sections and the effective form factors for $e^+e^-\toΞ^0\barΞ^0$ and $e^+e^-\toΞ^-\barΞ^+$ are also presented to test isospin symmetry and the vector meson dominance model.

Collaborative perception systems leverage multiple edge devices, such surveillance cameras or autonomous cars, to enhance sensing quality and eliminate blind spots. Despite their advantages, challenges such as limited channel capacity and data redundancy impede their effectiveness. To address these issues, we introduce the Prioritized Information Bottleneck (PIB) framework for edge video analytics. This framework prioritizes the shared data based on the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and camera coverage of the region of interest (RoI), reducing spatial-temporal data redundancy to transmit only essential information. This strategy avoids the need for video reconstruction at edge servers and maintains low latency. It leverages a deterministic information bottleneck method to extract compact, relevant features, balancing informativeness and communication costs. For high-dimensional data, we apply variational approximations for practical optimization. To reduce communication costs in fluctuating connections, we propose a gate mechanism based on distributed online learning (DOL) to filter out less informative messages and efficiently select edge servers. Moreover, we establish the asymptotic optimality of DOL by proving the sublinearity of their regrets. Compared to five coding methods for image and video compression, PIB improves mean object detection accuracy (MODA) while reducing 17.8% and reduces communication costs by 82.80% under poor channel conditions.

Collaborative edge sensing systems, particularly in collaborative perception systems in autonomous driving, can significantly enhance tracking accuracy and reduce blind spots with multi-view sensing capabilities. However, their limited channel capacity and the redundancy in sensory data pose significant challenges, affecting the performance of collaborative inference tasks. To tackle these issues, we introduce a Prioritized Information Bottleneck (PIB) framework for collaborative edge video analytics. We first propose a priority-based inference mechanism that jointly considers the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and the camera's coverage area of the region of interest (RoI). To enable efficient inference, PIB reduces video redundancy in both spatial and temporal domains and transmits only the essential information for the downstream inference tasks. This eliminates the need to reconstruct videos on the edge server while maintaining low latency. Specifically, it derives compact, task-relevant features by employing the deterministic information bottleneck (IB) method, which strikes a balance between feature informativeness and communication costs. Given the computational challenges caused by IB-based objectives with high-dimensional data, we resort to variational approximations for feasible optimization. Compared to TOCOM-TEM, JPEG, and HEVC, PIB achieves an improvement of up to 15.1\% in mean object detection accuracy (MODA) and reduces communication costs by 66.7% when edge cameras experience poor channel conditions.

The absolute branching fraction for this decay has been measured for the first time, and is $\left(1.347 \pm 0.066_{\mathrm stat.}\pm0.054_{\mathrm syst.}\right)\times 10^{-3}$. The decay asymmetry parameter, which characterizes the effect of parity violation in the decay, is determined to be $-0.741 \pm 0.062_{\mathrm stat.}\pm 0.019_{\mathrm syst.}$. The obtained results are consistent with the world average values within the uncertainties, offering valuable insights into the underlying mechanism governing the weak radiative hyperon decays. The charge conjugation parity ($CP$) symmetries of branching fraction and decay asymmetry parameter in the decay are also studied. No statistically significant violation of charge conjugation parity symmetry is observed.

The study exploits a sample of quantum-correlated $D\bar{D}$ mesons collected by the BESIII experiment in $e^+e^-$ collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 3.773~GeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.93~fb$^{-1}$. Here, $D$ denotes a neutral charm meson in a superposition of flavor eigenstates. The reported results are valuable for measurements of the $C\!P$-violating phase $γ$ (also denoted $φ_3$) in $B^\pm \to DK^\pm$, $D \to π^+π^-π^+π^-$ decays, and the binning schemes are designed to provide good statistical sensitivity to this parameter. The expected uncertainty on $γ$ arising from the precision of the strong-phase measurements, when applied to very large samples of $B$-meson decays, is around $1.5^\circ$ or $2^\circ$, depending on the binning scheme. The binned strong-phase parameters are combined to give a value of $F_+^{4π} = 0.746 \pm 0.010 \pm 0.004$ for the $C\!P$-even fraction of $D^0 \to π^+π^-π^+π^-$ decays, which is around 30\% more precise than the previous best measurement of this quantity.

In recent years, Multi-Modality Image Fusion (MMIF) has been applied to many fields, which has attracted many scholars to endeavour to improve the fusion performance. However, the prevailing focus has predominantly been on the architecture design, rather than the training strategies. As a low-level vision task, image fusion is supposed to quickly deliver output images for observation and supporting downstream tasks. Thus, superfluous computational and storage overheads should be avoided. In this work, a lightweight Distilled Mini-Model with a Dynamic Refresh strategy (MMDRFuse) is proposed to achieve this objective. To pursue model parsimony, an extremely small convolutional network with a total of 113 trainable parameters (0.44 KB) is obtained by three carefully designed supervisions. First, digestible distillation is constructed by emphasising external spatial feature consistency, delivering soft supervision with balanced details and saliency for the target network. Second, we develop a comprehensive loss to balance the pixel, gradient, and perception clues from the source images. Third, an innovative dynamic refresh training strategy is used to collaborate history parameters and current supervision during training, together with an adaptive adjust function to optimise the fusion network. Extensive experiments on several public datasets demonstrate that our method exhibits promising advantages in terms of model efficiency and complexity, with superior performance in multiple image fusion tasks and downstream pedestrian detection application. The code of this work is publicly available at https://github.com/yanglinDeng/MMDRFuse.

Field-theoretical calculations predict that, at the upper critical dimension $d_c=4$, the finite-size scaling (FSS) behaviors of the Ising model would be modified by multiplicative logarithmic corrections with thermal and magnetic correction exponents $(\hat{y}_t, \hat{y}_h)=(1/6,1/4)$. Using high-efficient cluster algorithms and the lifted worm algorithm, we present a systematic study of the FSS of the four-dimensional Ising model in the Fortuin-Kasteleyn (FK) bond and loop representations. Our numerical results reveal the FSS behaviors of various geometric and physical quantities in the three representations, offering robust evidence for the logarithmic correction form conjectured by the field theory. In particular, clear evidence is obtained for the existence of $\hat{y}_t=1/6$ in the loop representation, while it is difficult to extract in the spin representations, because of mixing with the Gaussian-fixed-point asymptotics. In the FK-bond representation, the multiplicative logarithmic correction for the second-largest cluster is also numerically observed to be governed by an exponent $\hat{y}_{h2} = -1/4$ with its exact value unknown yet.

The polar magnetic fields of the Sun play an important role in governing solar activity and powering fast solar wind. However, because our view of the Sun is limited in the ecliptic plane, the polar regions remain largely uncharted. Using the high spatial resolution and polarimetric precision vector magnetograms observed by Hinode from 2012 to 2021, we investigate the long-term variation of the magnetic fields in polar caps at different latitudes. The Hinode magnetic measurements show that the polarity reversal processes in the north and south polar caps are non-simultaneous. The variation of the averaged radial magnetic flux density reveals that, in each polar cap, the polarity reversal is completed successively from the 70 degree latitude to the pole, reflecting a poleward magnetic flux migration therein. These results clarify the polar magnetic polarity reversal process at different latitudes.

The peak electric field obtained at 4 THz is 1.5 MV/cm. We generate the mid-IR light using a difference-frequency generation (DFG) process with two phase-locked, chirped IR pulses. The obtained mid-IR electric field waveform is characterized using electro-optic sampling. We compare our experimental results with the predictions of numerical simulations. The results indicate the potential for efficient driving of vibrational modes into a strongly anharmomic regime, in cases where using Fourier-transform-limited pulses to achieve similar vibrational amplitudes would lead to dielectric breakdown.

Stochastic compositional minimax problems are prevalent in machine learning, yet there are only limited established on the convergence of this class of problems. In this paper, we propose a formal definition of the stochastic compositional minimax problem, which involves optimizing a minimax loss with a compositional structure either in primal , dual, or both primal and dual variables. We introduce a simple yet effective algorithm, stochastically Corrected stOchastic gradient Descent Ascent (CODA), which is a descent ascent type algorithm with compositional correction steps, and establish its convergence rate in aforementioned three settings. In the presence of the compositional structure in primal, the objective function typically becomes nonconvex in primal due to function composition. Thus, we consider the nonconvex-strongly-concave and nonconvex-concave settings and show that CODA can efficiently converge to a stationary point. In the case of composition on the dual, the objective function becomes nonconcave in the dual variable, and we demonstrate convergence in the strongly-convex-nonconcave and convex-nonconcave setting. In the case of composition on both variables, the primal and dual variables may lose convexity and concavity, respectively. Therefore, we anaylze the convergence in weakly-convex-weakly-concave setting. We also give a variance reduction version algorithm, CODA+, which achieves the best known rate on nonconvex-strongly-concave and nonconvex-concave compositional minimax problem. This work initiates the theoretical study of the stochastic compositional minimax problem on various settings and may inform modern machine learning scenarios such as domain adaptation or robust model-agnostic meta-learning.

Principal component analysis (PCA) is a classical feature extraction method, but it may be adversely affected by outliers, resulting in inaccurate learning of the projection matrix. This paper proposes a robust method to estimate both the data mean and the PCA projection matrix by learning discriminant sample weights from data containing outliers. Each sample in the dataset is assigned a weight, and the proposed algorithm iteratively learns the weights, the mean, and the projection matrix, respectively. Specifically, when the mean and the projection matrix are available, via fine-grained analysis of outliers, a weight for each sample is learned hierarchically so that outliers have small weights while normal samples have large weights. With the learned weights available, a weighted optimization problem is solved to estimate both the data mean and the projection matrix. Because the learned weights discriminate outliers from normal samples, the adverse influence of outliers is mitigated due to the corresponding small weights. Experiments on toy data, UCI dataset, and face dataset demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method in estimating the mean and the projection matrix from the data containing outliers.

Nonlinear wave mixing in the X-ray range can provide valuable insights into the structural and electron dynamics of atomic and molecular systems on ultrafast time scales, with state- and site-selectivity and atomic resolution. This promising experimental toolbox was so far limited by requiring at least one near-visible laser, thus preventing core-shell two-dimensional X-ray spectroscopy. In this work, we demonstrate the generation of background-free all-X-ray four-wave mixing (XFWM) signals from a dilute gaseous sample (Ne). The measured and simulated two-dimensional spectral maps ($ω_{\text{in}},ω_{\text{out}}$) show multiple contributions involving the coherent response from core electrons. Notably, two-color resonant XFWM signals, essential for generalized multi-color schemes that allow to locally probe the electronic excitation of matter, are observed in neutral Ne. Moreover, stimulated Ne$^+$ emission in each of the propagating X-ray pulses leads to an increase of the temporal coherence in a narrow-bandwidth, which results in the coherent mixing of three X-ray lasers. Preliminary X-ray excitation experiments making use of multi-color time-delayed X-ray pulses demonstrate temporal resolution capability and show a time dependency consistent with a signal dominated by resonant XFWM processes. This first all-X-ray four-wave-mixing approach represents a major breakthrough towards multidimensional X-ray correlation spectroscopy and the general application of nonlinear all-X-ray wave-mixing.

Large language models (LLMs) are trained on extensive text corpora, which inevitably include biased information. Although techniques such as Affective Alignment can mitigate some negative impacts of these biases, existing prompt-based attack methods can still extract these biases from the model's weights. Moreover, these biases frequently appear subtly when LLMs are prompted to perform identical tasks across different demographic groups, thereby camouflaging their presence. To address this issue, we have formally defined the implicit bias problem and developed an innovative framework for bias removal based on Bayesian theory, Bayesian-Theory based Bias Removal (BTBR). BTBR employs likelihood ratio screening to pinpoint data entries within publicly accessible biased datasets that represent biases inadvertently incorporated during the LLM training phase. It then automatically constructs relevant knowledge triples and expunges bias information from LLMs using model editing techniques. Through extensive experimentation, we have confirmed the presence of the implicit bias problem in LLMs and demonstrated the effectiveness of our BTBR approach.

In this paper, we propose a novel adaptive Control Barrier Function (CBF) based controller for nonlinear systems with complex, time-varying input constraints. Conventional CBF approaches often struggle with feasibility issues and stringent assumptions when addressing input constraints. Unlike these methods, our approach converts the input-constraint problem into an output-constraint CBF design. This transformation simplifies the Quadratic Programming (QP) formulation and enhances compatibility with the CBF framework. We design an adaptive CBF-based controller to manage the mismatched uncertainties introduced by this transformation. Our method systematically addresses the challenges of complex, time-varying, and state-dependent input constraints. The efficacy of the proposed approach is validated using numerical examples.

The topological nature of MTJJs manifests as a modulation of the quasiparticle density of states (DOS) in the normal metal that may be probed by tunneling measurements. Building Footprint Extraction (BFE) in off-nadir aerial images often relies on roof segmentation and roof-to-footprint offset prediction, then drugging roof-to-footprint via the offset. However, the results from this multi-stage inference are not applicable in data production, because of the low quality of masks given by prediction. To solve this problem, we proposed OBMv2 in this paper, which supports both end-to-end and promptable polygonal footprint prediction. Different from OBM, OBMv2 using a newly proposed Self Offset Attention (SOFA) to bridge the performance gap on bungalow and skyscraper, which realized a real end-to-end footprint polygon prediction without postprocessing. %, such as Non-Maximum Suppression (NMS) and Distance NMS (DNMS). % To fully use information contained in roof masks, building masks and offsets, we proposed a Multi-level Information SyStem (MISS) for footprint prediction, with which OBMv2 can predict footprints even with insufficient predictions. Additionally, to squeeze information from the same model, we were inspired by Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) in Nature Language Processing and proposed "RAG in BFE" problem. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed method, experiments were conducted on open datasets BONAI and OmniCity-view3. A generalization test was also conducted on Huizhou test set. The code will be available at \url{https://github.com/likaiucas/OBM}.

We have seen much recent progress in task-specific clothes manipulation, but generalizable clothes manipulation is still a challenge. Clothes manipulation requires sequential actions, making it challenging to generalize to unseen tasks. Besides, a general clothes state representation method is crucial. In this paper, we adopt language instructions to specify and decompose clothes manipulation tasks, and propose a large language model based hierarchical learning method to enhance generalization. For state representation, we use semantic keypoints to capture the geometry of clothes and outline their manipulation methods. Simulation experiments show that the proposed method outperforms the baseline method in terms of success rate and generalization for clothes manipulation tasks.

We provide a rigorous derivation of Boltzmann's kinetic equation from the hard-sphere system for rarefied gas, that is valid for arbitrarily long time as long as a solution to the Boltzmann equation exists. This is a crucial step in resolving Hilbert's sixth problem, and also extends Lanford's landmark theorem (1975) which justifies such derivation for sufficiently short time.
The general strategy follows the paradigm introduced by the first two authors for the long-time derivation of the wave kinetic equation in wave turbulence theory. This is based on proving a long-time cumulant ansatz, which keeps memory of the full collision history of the particle system. At the heart of the matter is a reduction to combinatorial estimates for the Feynman diagrams (referred to as Collision History (CH) molecules), which are then proved by devising an elaborate cutting algorithm, a major novelty of this work.

Symbolic regression is a task aimed at identifying patterns in data and representing them through mathematical expressions, generally involving skeleton prediction and constant optimization. Many methods have achieved some success, however they treat variables and symbols merely as characters of natural language without considering their mathematical essence. This paper introduces the operator feature neural network (OF-Net) which employs operator representation for expressions and proposes an implicit feature encoding method for the intrinsic mathematical operational logic of operators. By substituting operator features for numeric loss, we can predict the combination of operators of target expressions. We evaluate the model on public datasets, and the results demonstrate that the model achieves superior recovery rates and high $R^2$ scores. With the discussion of the results, we analyze the merit and demerit of OF-Net and propose optimizing schemes.

Evidence of $η_{c}(2S)\toωω$ is found with a statistical significance of $3.2σ$. The branching fraction is measured to be $\mathcal{B}(η_{c}(2S)\toωω)=(5.65\pm3.77(\rm stat.)\pm5.32(\rm syst.))\times10^{-4}$. No statistically significant signal is observed for the decay $η_{c}(2S)\toωφ$. The upper limit of the branching fraction at the 90\% confidence level is determined to be $\mathcal{B}(ψ(2S)\toγη_{c}(2S),η_{c}(2S)\toωφ)<2.24\times 10^{-7}$. We also update the branching fractions of $χ_{cJ}\to ωω$ and $χ_{cJ}\toωφ$ decays via the $ψ(2S)\toγχ_{cJ}$ transition. To accomplish various tasks, safe and smooth control of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) needs to be guaranteed, which cannot be met by existing ultra-reliable low latency communications (URLLC). This has attracted the attention of the communication field, where most existing work mainly focused on optimizing communication performance (i.e., delay) and ignored the performance of the task (i.e., tracking accuracy). To explore the effectiveness of communication in completing a task, in this letter, we propose a goal-oriented communication framework adopting a deep reinforcement learning (DRL) algorithm with a proactive repetition scheme (DeepP) to optimize C&C data selection and the maximum number of repetitions in a real-time target tracking task, where a base station (BS) controls a UAV to track a mobile target. The effectiveness of our proposed approach is validated by comparing it with the traditional proportional integral derivative (PID) algorithm.

With the emergence of the metaverse and its role in enabling real-time simulation and analysis of real-world counterparts, an increasing number of personalized metaverse scenarios are being created to influence entertainment experiences and social behaviors. However, compared to traditional image and video entertainment applications, the exact transmission of the vast amount of metaverse-associated information significantly challenges the capacity of existing bit-oriented communication networks. Moreover, the current metaverse also witnesses a growing goal shift for transmitting the meaning behind custom-designed content, such as user-designed buildings and avatars, rather than exact copies of physical objects. To meet this growing goal shift and bandwidth challenge, this paper proposes a goal-oriented semantic communication framework for metaverse application (GSCM) to explore and define semantic information through the goal levels. Specifically, we first analyze the traditional image communication framework in metaverse construction and then detail our proposed semantic information along with the end-to-end wireless communication. We then describe the designed modules of the GSCM framework, including goal-oriented semantic information extraction, base knowledge definition, and neural radiance field (NeRF) based metaverse construction. Finally, numerous experiments have been conducted to demonstrate that, compared to image communication, our proposed GSCM framework decreases transmission latency by up to 92.6% and enhances the virtual object operation accuracy and metaverse construction clearance by up to 45.6% and 44.7%, respectively.

Ramp merging is one of the bottlenecks in traffic systems, which commonly cause traffic congestion, accidents, and severe carbon emissions. In order to address this essential issue and enhance the safety and efficiency of connected and autonomous vehicles (CAVs) at multi-lane merging zones, we propose a novel collaborative decision-making framework, named AgentsCoMerge, to leverage large language models (LLMs). Specifically, we first design a scene observation and understanding module to allow an agent to capture the traffic environment. Then we propose a hierarchical planning module to enable the agent to make decisions and plan trajectories based on the observation and the agent's own state. In addition, in order to facilitate collaboration among multiple agents, we introduce a communication module to enable the surrounding agents to exchange necessary information and coordinate their actions. Finally, we develop a reinforcement reflection guided training paradigm to further enhance the decision-making capability of the framework. Extensive experiments are conducted to evaluate the performance of our proposed method, demonstrating its superior efficiency and effectiveness for multi-agent collaborative decision-making under various ramp merging scenarios.

The $e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrowγπ^{0}$ cross section is fitted with considering the interference between the $ψ(2S)$ and continuum amplitudes and two solutions are found, ${\cal B}=3.74\times10^{-7}$ with $φ=3.93$ rad and ${\cal B}=7.87\times10^{-7}$ with $φ=2.08$ rad. Here, ${\cal B}$ is the branching fraction of $ψ(2S)\rightarrowγπ^{0}$ and $φ$ is the relative phase angle between the $ψ(2S)$ and continuum amplitudes. Due to insufficient off-resonance data, the branching fraction ${\cal B}(ψ(2S)\rightarrowγπ^{0})$ is determined to be in the range $[2.7, 9.7]\times10^{-7}$ within one standard deviation of the contour region.

The branching fraction of $η_{c}(2S)\to K^{+} K^{-}η$ is determined to be $\mathcal{B}(η_{c}(2S)\to K^{+} K^{-}η) = (3.42 \pm 0.46 \pm 0.48 \pm 2.44) \times 10^{-3}$, where the third uncertainty is due to the branching fraction of $ψ(3686) \to γη_{c}(2S)$. Time-triggered federated learning, in contrast to conventional event-based federated learning, organizes users into tiers based on fixed time intervals. However, this network still faces challenges due to a growing number of devices and limited wireless bandwidth, increasing issues like stragglers and communication overhead. In this paper, we apply model pruning to wireless Time-triggered systems and jointly study the problem of optimizing the pruning ratio and bandwidth allocation to minimize training loss under communication latency constraints. To solve this joint optimization problem, we perform a convergence analysis on the gradient $l_2$-norm of the asynchronous multi-tier federated learning (FL) model with adaptive model pruning. The convergence upper bound is derived and a joint optimization problem of pruning ratio and wireless bandwidth is defined to minimize the model training loss under a given communication latency constraint. The closed-form solutions for wireless bandwidth and pruning ratio by using KKT conditions are then formulated. As indicated in the simulation experiments, our proposed TT-Prune demonstrates a 40% reduction in communication cost, compared with the asynchronous multi-tier FL without model pruning, while maintaining the model convergence at the same level.

Current 3D single object tracking methods primarily rely on the Siamese matching-based paradigm, which struggles with textureless and incomplete LiDAR point clouds. Conversely, the motion-centric paradigm avoids appearance matching, thus overcoming these issues. However, its complex multi-stage pipeline and the limited temporal modeling capability of a single-stream architecture constrain its potential. In this paper, we introduce SiamMo, a novel and simple Siamese motion-centric tracking approach. Unlike the traditional single-stream architecture, we employ Siamese feature extraction for motion-centric tracking. This decouples feature extraction from temporal fusion, significantly enhancing tracking performance. Additionally, we design a Spatio-Temporal Feature Aggregation module to integrate Siamese features at multiple scales, capturing motion information effectively. We also introduce a Box-aware Feature Encoding module to encode object size priors into motion estimation. SiamMo is a purely motion-centric tracker that eliminates the need for additional processes like segmentation and box refinement. Without whistles and bells, SiamMo not only surpasses state-of-the-art methods across multiple benchmarks but also demonstrates exceptional robustness in challenging scenarios. SiamMo sets a new record on the KITTI tracking benchmark with 90.1\% precision while maintaining a high inference speed of 108 FPS. The code will be released at https://github.com/HDU-VRLab/SiamMo.

No evidence above $3σ$ is found for either decay. Upper limits at the $90\%$ C.L. on the branching fractions of $X(3872)\toπ^0π^0χ_{c1,2}$ normalized…

No evidence above $3σ$ is found for either decay. Upper limits at the $90\%$ C.L. on the branching fractions of $X(3872)\toπ^0π^0χ_{c1,2}$ normalized to the branching fraction of $X(3872)\toπ^+π^-J/ψ$ are set to be $\mathcal{B}(X(3872)\toπ^0π^0χ_{c1})/\mathcal{B}(X(3872)\toπ^+π^-J/ψ) < 1.1$ and $\mathcal{B}(X(3872)\toπ^0π^0χ_{c2})/\mathcal{B}(X(3872)\toπ^+π^-J/ψ) < 0.5$, taking into account both statistical and systematic uncertainties.

Abstract:
Based on a sample of $(2712.4\pm14.3)\times10^6\;ψ(3686)$ events collected with the BESIII detector, a partial wave analysis of the decay $ψ(3686)\toΛ\barΣ^0π^0+c.c.$ is performed to investigate $Λ^*$ and $Σ^*$ resonances in the $π^0\barΣ^0$ and $π^0Λ$ invariant mass distributions. Significant contributions are found from the $Λ(1405)$, $Λ(1520)$, $Λ(1600)$, $Λ(1670)$, $Λ(1690)$, $Λ(1800)$,…

Significant contributions are found from the $Λ(1405)$, $Λ(1520)$, $Λ(1600)$, $Λ(1670)$, $Λ(1690)$, $Λ(1800)$, $Λ(1890)$, $Λ(2325)$, $Σ(1385)$, $Σ(1660)$, $Σ(1670)$, $Σ(1750)$, and $Σ(1910)$. The masses, widths, and production branching fractions for each component are determined. In addition, the branching fraction of $ψ(3686)\toΛ\barΣ^0π^0+c.c.$ is measured to be $(1.544\pm0.013\pm0.069)\times10^{-4}$ for the first time, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic.
