Description
English: The Sigma Achromatic Macro Lens is an accessory lens for macro photography which was available as an optional purchase throughout the 1990s. This screw-in version threaded for 58mm is matched to three models of AF zoom lenses, increasing maximum magnification and reducing minimum focus distance at the same time. Though usable in every setting, the best possible results are as follows:

  • Sigma AF 70-210mm F3.5-4.5 APO Macro, 1:1.1 in the macro mode at 210mm, 0.51m MFD
  • Sigma AF 70-300mm F4-5.6 APO Macro, 1:1 in the macro mode at 300mm, 0.58m MFD
  • Sigma AF 70-300mm F4-5.6 DL, 1:1.3 at 300mm, 0.65m MFD
