Hey everyone - I would like to request permission from the community to review Flickr images. I am an admin on English Wikipedia and spend a good deal of time working image backlogs there. I can't say that I am going to spend an inordinate amount of time on backlogs over here, but I would like to be able to help out with flickr reviews. Thanks. --BigDT 03:22, 3 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Support I am very familiar with BigDT through the WP:CFB project. MECUtalk 12:36, 3 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Support As MECU, I am quite familiar with BigDT's image work on en.wiki, and I am eminently confident that he is well capable of partaking of Flickr review here; that he may not work on backlogs here with frequency is, of course, no problem—any help is great. Still interested. Seems to have just been abandoned after some confusion. Aldaron 01:00, 21 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I think a starting a new request is the best way to avoid confusion. -- Bryan (talk to me) 09:58, 21 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
That was a typo. I know it is multilingual like Meta-Wiki, but I must have been half asleep when I wrote it. ;) Greeves (talk contribs Wikipedia) 16:29, 12 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

May I ask where "(...)administrators from other wikis may speedily begin to review Flickr images." is stated? (This does not concern having Arria as a Flick reviewer, she has 100% of my support and trust). Because if we do have that policy, it's a disastrous one. Commons:Flickr images/reviewers#Instructions on becoming a reviewer. At the end of that little section. Arria Belli | parlami 14:13, 14 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Arria, I missed that. Well, there's the clause "if no reasonable objection has been found.", so it's cool. I was mentioning that would be disastrous because there are people (admins) on other projects that *think* they know about licensing, hehehe. Patrícia msg 15:05, 14 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, absolutely. I passed Arria because I know her work, and when I pass admins from other wikis it's only if I know their work with images and licensing too. No fear :) ~ Riana 02:44, 15 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I personally dislike/partially disagree with the "admins on other projects thing" but in this case have no qualms, hence supporting. Giggy 22:53, 15 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the kind messages of support. ^^ I have already started working on reviewing images and am happy to save the bot more edits confirming all my uploads (and there have been many over the past few days). Happy editing, Arria Belli | parlami 14:05, 16 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
