Chhena Matar Tarkari (Hindi: छेना मटर तरकारी, Odia: ଛେନା ମଟର ତରକାର) is a vegetarian dish originating from Odisha.[1][2] It generally consists of peas and chhena in a tomato-based sauce,[3] spiced with garam masala.Its modern restaurant-style version also known as matar paneer,[4][5] is popular in North Indian culinary tradition.[6][7]

It is often served with rice and an Indian type of bread (naan, paratha, poori, or roti depending on region). Various other ingredients are often added, such as potato (aloo), corn, yogurt or cream.[8][9]
