the source used reflects true German losses, and their deletion, excused as "intricate detail" is unacceptable. The losses are relevant to the claims made by this pilot. 194.33.196.3 (talk) 13:58, 25 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

I disagree; I reverted your changes as being mostly intricate detail. For example, what is the purpose of identifying Peter Goring as the shot down pilot? The original text didn't mention him and from your additions, it seems as though Crawford-Compton didn't shoot him down either so what is the relevance to this article? Also sources should be properly identified - what is Caldwell, and the War Diaries? They aren't listed in the references section. You can expect a bit of scrutiny of your edits when making changes to an article and not maintaining the existing citation and referencing formats. I will concede that less definitive language could be used in a couple of places and have made some changes in this regard. Zawed (talk) 18:59, 25 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
