North Vancouver, British Columbia
editAccording to WP:CANPLACE, this article should be moved to North Vancouver, British Columbia. I was going to be bold and move it, but I thought maybe there was a reason why it's mis-named. Thoughts from anyone out there? Masterhatch (talk) 14:30, 25 November 2023 (UTC)
- From the style guide, "Cities that either have unique names or are unquestionably the most significant place sharing their name can have undisambiguated titles."
- There are two different "North Vancouver" municipalities with different governments etc, the "City of North Vancouver", and the "District of North Vancouver". The concept of a "District municipality" is quite fringe, so in this idiosyncratic situation with two adjacent municipalities of comparable population (~60k for the City and ~80k for the District), it really is in keeping with the style guide to keep the City disambiguated, and have "North Vancouver" point to the disambiguation page.
