Pejorative

[edit]

Currently, the lede includes the following sentence:
The term "caldoche" has a pejorative connotation.
Can a reference be found for this claim? And if it is true, should we be using this term in an encyclopedia? Ordinary Person (talk) 07:47, 6 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

In "101 Mots pour comprendre l'Histoire de la Nouvelle-Calédonie", Christiane Douyère, writes "Sa connotation péjorative renforcée par le suffixe "oche" suscite encore de nombreux débats et des refus…". So, it is clearly pejorative Damien Raczy 08:32, 6 November 2017 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Raczy (talkcontribs)
Cheers, so that gets to my second point. Why is there an encyclopedia article headed with this pejorative term? Ordinary Person (talk) 04:58, 7 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

stereotypes (and racism)

[edit]

There are many unsourced (racial) sterotypes, and I suggest to delete all these unsourced sterotypes. - Damien Raczy 07:36, 23 April 2018 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Raczy (talkcontribs) (hey bot, it was signed! Be sure to correct your code)

Geographical distribution : racist stereoptypes

[edit]

This section is a long list of racist stereotypes without any valid and coherent source - Damien Raczy 09:02, 29 April 2018 (UTC)
