I've fixed the "improvements" by a one-edit contributor under the edit summary "Bad grammar and partially wrong terms. "Her keel was, she was... who is she - your girlfriend...? Germany has never been recognised as "Nazi Germany"

  • 1 The template was broken; it’s now fixed
  • 2 The bad grammar, spelling that was added has been fixed
  • 3 The personal pronoun has been restored where appropriate; referring to vesels as "she" is normal english usage, so it’s perfectly correct to use it on the English language WP.
  • 4 Nazi Germany is the correct link; take a look: and check the flag
  • 5 U-995 was not “captured?; there was no heroic last stand: when Germany surrendered unconditionally, she was surrendered with the other 170-odd surviving U-boats

Spelling

[edit]

The official name of German WWII submarines was always unhyphenated. Like U 995 not U-995. Someone should change that for all boats. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.65.79.241 (talk) 12:01, 10 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Passive sonar

[edit]

The "passive sonar" sections seem inaccurate or requires clarification. U-995 was removed from Norwegian service in 1965 and returned to Germany in the same year, where works began to restore it to its original WWII state. It does not seem to make sense that a special "Royal Norwegian Navy design" sonar was fitted in the "1970s"... "1950s" or "1960s" maybe? --MrHRFloyd (talk) 06:27, 2 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
