Trippie Redd's wiki page says is name is Michael White II but it is actually Michael White IV according to every other source. Can't edit the page as it is protected but this may need to be edited for accuracy. 174.240.234.0 (talk) 22:41, 30 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. According to the relevant guidelines at Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Biography#Pseudonyms, stage names, nicknames, hypocorisms, and common names, "For people who are best known by a pseudonym, the legal name should usually appear first in the article, followed closely by the pseudonym". For example, on some biographical articles such as Dr. Ruth, Tim Allen, Busta Rhymes and so on, we use other permutations such as "known professionally as", "better known as", "better known by the stage name" and so on. Per WP:BRD, I'm opening up a discussion here to see what's the best way to format the names here. Thoughts? Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 22:21, 15 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

All of the possible phrasings mentioned sound good to me; I don't have a strong preference for any particular one. A quick look at the page history suggests to me that "known professionally as" was the stable phrasing before the recent spate of changes, but I have no objection if people want to change it to something else.
